My U.S. 2020 Super Baseball cart has a small Japanese title sticker on the top.

Anyone else have this? It's a small, pink sticker on the top right of the title area. I've never seen anything else like it; I am thinking that it's probably "normal," but I don't know. Thanks.

I think that EightMan games have the same thing (at least mine does). I have no idea what it means and mine is the English version too.

im gonna bump this topic from 5,000 years ago, because i just bought a NOS dogtag copy of super baseball 2020 and when i opened it up i noticed the little sticker as well. what does it mean?? the only thing on it that i can read is that it says 2020 and then later the number 1 as well. does anybody know what it says?

cmon, i know somebody else has wondered what these little stickers say.

My educated guess would be 1 of 2 things:

Option 1) Sticker placed to mark inventory from a distributer in Hong Kong (this is VERY common).

Option 2) Quality control checks (ROFL) from SNK's factory

This has been discussed several times here before but here is the deal with those little stickers for those of you who may have missed those past years threads.

2020 Super Baseball & Super Eightman are both manufactured by the licensee PALLAS which was one of SNK's very first third party licensees (whilst operating under the overview of SNK) Both the MVS and HOME cart versions of both of these titles have that same exact sticker on them.

And a little early SNK history trivia sidenote..."Cybernetic Soccer" (which was the working title for Soccer Brawl when it was still in its early proto stages) was at one time rumored to also have been a PALLAS NEO-GEO title. While this may or may not ever be 100% confirmed, since the Neo Geo DEV System was usually loaned for licensees under the "contract" of 2 titles with an option for a 3rd, we may never really know wether Soccer Brawl would have been their third or if possibly one of the remaining unknown early NGM code numbers is a third PALLAS game.

Anyhow, I kept my stickers on both my home and mvs carts just because I had no reason to remove them. But I would consider them to be a part of the "completeness" of the game per say to those freak collectors out there.

I'll be damned, my MVS carts do have them. I was wondering what Pallas was. So are the games made by SNK or Pallas?

I had to check to make sure I saw that correctly. I probably wrote that in my dorm room! Man, I miss college. Sad thing is, I am currently in my old college town to edit my film, and the building I had most of my classes in has been torn down. Bastards. At least I got to loot it before demolition had started, and I used the proceeds from all the rap records (radio station in the basement) to buy my Falcoon-signed E3 Mai poster on eBay...

Also, there is a 2-slot MVS with League Bowling and World Heroes in the student center. Never had that when I was attending. Tried to get in but the doors were locked.
