If I stop buying games now, I've still got a serious backlog of games to finish. Seeing as I don't like living things "unfinished" I'll most likely stop playing games in a couple of million years. I figure I don't need much to keep me busy during retirement.

As long as they make 2D fighters, I'll play them.

If not, I can see myself growing tired of them.

I've been doing a lot of reading and sketching lately. I find myself wanting to sell of some of my newer games and systems. I'm becoming fiercly protective of my 16 bit and 8 bit stuff. I've become very, very fond and appreciative of SEGA's post Third Party Days.

I'm getting old and crusty.

I'll keep playing games until I either die, or become to infirmed/ill to play them any longer.

Even if I was paralyzed from the neck down I'd make my loved ones play them and I'd watch.

Console gaming ended for me shortly after the sega saturn died. I do own a Dreamcast and play Gundam federation vs Zeon import and Marvel vs. Capcom2 and various others quite often, mostly before I goe to sleep. I dont plan to ever own anything other than a xbox after I'm able to afford it and xbox live to play cvssnk2 and mvsc2 online, other than that I find most all platform games boring and repetive same goes for rpgs (imo). So if they take away my fighters and shooters im done and only playing all my old shit when my kids are old enough to understand.

Same here. But if the market goes only dominated by two consoles in the future ( SONY + Micro$oft ), you can bet I won't buy any more consoles in my life.

Each new game release makes me love even more my old games.

Pretty much shit out there nowadays.
