With all of this talk and flame about the NGF Faked ZUPAPA Home Cart I thought I'd post some images of the REAL GAME in its native MVS format.

Note: One eprom chip was used on the graphics board.

Nice pics, Tiptonium. Amazing that the game has so few ROMs, isn't it? Must be pretty small in size overall.

How do you like the game? I've heard mixed reviews about it so far . . .

I've got it on MVS as well and I find it to be a rather enjoyable game. The gameplay is pretty solid I think. It's nothing that hasn't been done before, but that doesn't mean it's not fun.

Overall I'd give it a B or a B+.

Zupapa! is a fun little diversion that is reminiscent of Rainbow Islands in some ways. It also shares similarities with Nightmare in the Dark.

Zupapa is a great game, sure not even close to the greats on the neo, but it is a lot of fun to play and has some pretty decent graphics and sound! Yeah, tiny, but it desn't feel that way.

Oh and the EPROM is not a graphic chip, it is the M1, the tiny little sound table chip :)

Oh... Well damn someone told me the board would be green if it was an eprom dump. I guess that's not true then? Blah...

Well anyways I've played the game, too. It's pretty fun but I find it hard to stay alive. I think I just suck at this kind of game or something.

Not the same thing. SNK used eproms all the time. They are easily writable ROM chips. There's a difference between a cart full of eprom chips, and one for the sound chip.

That's all raw, encrypted data up there.

The two green boards your home cart has means that there is no need for a security chip, meaning it came from a decrypted source, like a ROM dump. ;)

That's true but you need to look at the edge connector color, not the body of the cart itself which is covered with green. Look at the picture, one board has white connector, other one has a black one.

He's referring to this:

<a href="http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=18&t=004058" target="_blank">http://www.neo-geo.com/cgi-local/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=18&t=004058</a>

Talking about his ZuPaPa NGH from NGF. If it had one black edge, and one green, then it was a covnersion.

Two green, and it was an EPROM dump.
