NGH collecting...some thoughts please

While I was at work today, a friend of mine emailed me about getting his NGH modded. I told him to have Jeff do it and told him to register here for support and such. Well, he got me thinking that I miss having a NGH system. I mean, I love my cabinets, but I still feel a void.

My question is, what is the cheapest way to play NGH games. I know the carts are more (that is why I play MVS) but how would one go about starting a NGH collection with a very limited budget. Say $100.00 a month to spend on it in total. Now that I am working again, I can boost my MVS carts, but am really thinking I may need a NGH system also.

You opinions please.

first get a system and either SS2 or KoF 98, then get SS1 or KoF 96 or KoF 97 - you're basically in less than $100 territory there.

Eventually pick up Baseball Stars 2 and Top Hunter.

Maybe Metal Slug 3 and Real Bout Fatal Fury (any) too.

If you can handle getting only the jap fighters and the US versions of non-fighters, you should get everything cheaply.

Thanks for the advice. How cheap have you seen NGH systems go for usually? Do you think I should be able to get one for say under $200.00 with two new style controllers? What serial number should I hunt for? As far as games go, I was thinking of starting off with all Japanese version of:

NAM 1975
Super Spy
Ninja Combat
Baseball Stars Professional

Thanks,
