no you do not need a snk cab i do not no the exact spec but i know it is possible because the machine i play in the mall is more like a capcom cab and i think you should call your local disributor and ask them about this if anybody on these boards cannot help you.

A Neo Geo MVS 1 slot board will work in any JAMMA arcade cabinet. However, multi (2,4 or 6) slot MVS boards may require minor adjustments as their pinout is not standard JAMMA. ;)

My one slot board is in a mortal kombat cab. I think jamma has been the standard since about 86. If you get an older cab you could wire it with a new harness. There only $15. Just make sure you get a game with a horizontal screen.

Neo Geo requires some wirring changes from the JAMMA standard. JAMMA is 3 buttons, neo is 4, so you atleast need to wire in a 4th button. Also, the older neos used Stereo sound, and JAMMA is mono. There is also the select button, test switch, etc to wire in... but all of this is quite simple to do with any cab! :)

Theres no select on a one slot board. And the test is a dip switch on mine. I had to run some wires for the 4th button on each side. <a href="http://www.hardmvs.com" target="_blank">www.hardmvs.com</a> has all the info
