Well, it was brought up in the news and rumours section.... I don't think it is an official release, looks more like the KOF99 and 2000 hacks to me. Anyway, here are some pictures of KOF 2001 Plus

If anyone has anymore information or knows if it is a real Eolith edit or not, please let me know,

Woah, modified code so you can select bosses without debug bios...

Plus altered title screen...

They must have been working for at least 10 minutes to bring this one up...

As posted in that thread:

As for King of Fighters 2001 Plus, it is said to be a bootleg/fake version. Basicly it has these problems:

1. Bosses are unbalanced, power is not right for fair play

2. No matter where the boss is on your team, when he dies the players game is over... That doesn't seem right So if you lead off with a boss and you lose, the match is over.

There are similar versions of KOF 99 and 2000, and like those two, this version has some small graphical glitches (not horrible, but sometimes the bosses will flicker or something won't draw right... rare occurance though).

I don't think this was done by Eolith... but who knows.

This is not with this kind of games that playmore will find a solution for the neo geo.

I don't think this is a real Playmore release (which believe is what robert was trying to get at). I also hope that it isn't just because we don't need to see the Street Fighter phenomenon hit the NEO ("upgrades" to the same game engine and a few new selectable characters added). I say make the game as perfect as possible and leave it at that.

Well, maybe but i'll bet a lot of people would have loved to see Kasumi, Jhun and Saishu added to 2001. I know I would.
