First off, let me say that my purpose in this post is to provide some facts in the never ending NGF scandal. I don't think any of you probably own a copy of this game, and NGF is probably the only way to get it on AES unless someone that I don't know of converted the thing...
I've been following the whole NGF thing pretty closely and with great interest. And, somehow, I ended up trading with Dion for Zupapa AES. The transaction was very quick, and the game definitely looks brand new as advertised.
I have provided a link to 11 pictures of the game and manual that I took. Please, if you want to look at them a lot or may want to look at them again in the future, download them to your computer. I think geocities gets stingy if too many people are DLing stuff off my page, and the pictures are all about 150k so that you can see things clearly. If I go over some kind of limit, I am taking the link down. I think you'll find that everything is really professional looking and well done. I think you'll also find the manual to be kind of amusing. And many of you will find the NGF logos to be blasphemous. I dunno, I mean, wouldn't you rather that it was obviously labelled as made by NGF than if they concealed it? Well just take a look...

Note that the instruction manual comes in a protective sleeve instead of a baggie. NGF was proud of that. It's nice, but I kind of like the baggy cause the sleeve has sticky stuff and it gets stuck to things and is hard to get the manual back into. Then again, it won't fall out once it's inside, which is a plus.
I'm really don't want to open up the cart, as much as I'd like to show people. The game works fine, of course. I saw that originally Dion was bad at conversions or whatever but I think NGF know what they're doing now since it's the main part of their business and it's been a long time since those pictures of the bad conversion were taken. Yes, he did admit to me that a lot of what they sell are conversions. Why do people say that they hide that kind of thing? Maybe they USED to, but I've gone to their site and all and it seems clear what you're getting with them now. And, of course, they maintain that Zupapa is not converted. I believe them about that. I don't know exactly how it was made, probably like an eprom dump or whatever the hell, I don't know what that means honestly.
So, all that having been said, I just have one thing that bugs me a lot about this whole thing. See, NGF clearly say in the manual that they are the ones who got the game released. But, I thought that the thing came out on MVS without their help! I am 99.99999% sure that the game itself is exactly the same as the arcade version, too, but I read Chris say that they debugged it or something, like as if they messed with the programming of the thing or something... I think they're lieing about that. I mean, it's not like it bothers me, NGF is obviously kind of overbearing and hilariously egotistical sometimes, but it's still kind of misleading.
Overall, however, I think it was a good transaction and it looks nice. NGF I don't think are as bad as most people on here say, EVEN IF THEY WERE HORRIBLE IN THE PAST. As long as you know that they like to stamp inserts and you make it clear that you're not a gullible sap, you'll get what you expect from them, from what I can tell.
Hope you guys enjoy those pictures. Yes, those Zupapas are Neo-Geo Freaks! <img src="graemlins/tickled.gif" border="0" alt="[Tickled]" /> <img src="graemlins/tickled.gif" border="0" alt="[Tickled]" />
(pretty funny stuff, don't you think?)
