I know of SSWR and FFWA, but were any other titles ported over besides these two?

SSWR is not a port, its its own seperate game.

Its not great, but its not as bad as some other things I've played. Its worth the $25.00 admission price if you can find it that cheap.

SSWR for PSX is actually SSWR 2. I own the import copy, and on the side it says "Samurai Shodown Warriors Rage 2"

No, you are wrong. I have explained this numerous times.

The following pictures below are of the Japanese version of the PSX game.

SSWR 2 PSX was released in the states as, SSWR. Both PSX games are the same. The reason SNK didn't bother to call SSWR 2, SSWR 2 in the states is because, to my knowlege, the Hyper game SSWR was never released in the US. So, since US gamers never played the first SSWR, might as well release the PSX game (THE SEQUEL TO THE HYPER GAME), as the first SSWR. It is not confusing.

I understand that the PSX import says Warriors Rage 2 BUT ! its absolutly different from the Hyper Neo Geo 64 game .

Trust me I own the Hyper version , wich has most of the usual Samurai Spirits Characters ((Haohmaru , Galford , Kazuki , ETC !)) the PSX game has a whole different cast of characters .

You need to play both games before coming to hasty conclusions .

It may be alot different, but a sequel is still a sequel. It is just a sequel that takes place MANY years ahead in the Samurai Shodown timeline. The fact that only two characters return, does not disqualify it for being a sequel. SNK labled it as SSWR 2 as it is the sequel, and I think SNK knew their own games.

What you dont seem to understand is that there are 2 Samurai Spirits games on the Hyper 64 .

and both of them are TOTALLY different from the PSX version .

I am aware of the two games for hyper. But your only point I see so far is the fact that the character lineup is totally different. SNK has the right to change the character lineup, it is their game series.

This argument is getting pointless, so I will state my points and move on to something else.

-SSWR for PSX IS NOT a port of any Hyper 64 game.

-SSWR(US PSX) is the same game as SSWR 2 (japanese PSX game)

-SSWR 2 PSX is the sequel to SSWR for the Hyper. The fact that SSWR 2 is on a different platform, with a different character line up, does not change the fact that it is a sequel.

There is Samurai Shodown 64, and Samurai Shodown 64 2 Warriors Rage.

SSWR for PSX is the sequel to Samurai Shodown 64 2 Warriors Rage.

No hard feelings on my end either, I consider this good SNK banter.

:)

If the Playstation game were to have been released on the hyper. The Samurai Shodown gamelist for the hyper would look as follows.

Samurai Shodown 64 -> Samurai Shodown 64 2: Warriors Rage -> Samurai Shodown 64 3: Warriors Rage 2

This is why I refer to them as SS64, Asura Zanmaden, and Warrior's Rage 2, respectively. ;P

Silly, yes, but no one ever gets confused that way.

Since the whole Samurai Spirits debacle has come to an end, were any Hyper 64 games, besides those already mentioned, ported to the PSX?

I wonder why they never ported any of those games to the N64 as well? I'd a probably gotten them being that the N64 did nothing to satisfy fighting gamers like me which is a big contrast to it's predecessor.
