Question about new games in snaplock boxes

Were new games in the snaplock boxes ever shipped with the sticker on the clasp side and bending over onto the back cover, like the old vinyl-boxed ones, or were they always solely along the clasp side?

I would really appreciate any answers to this.

edit: I can provide a pic or two of what I mean.

when i recieved my kof 96 new from ncs
it was on the side.
not on the clasp over the back side of the case.
SNK stopped doing the stickers completely though
after running out of the stickers though right?

Yes, they stopped using them c. 1998, but this particular golf game of mine I got in today had the seal, which was hard to tell if it had been opened or not.

Thanks everyone.

Actually as far as i know KOF 96 was the last one with the sticker on the side...if my memory serves me correct.

Whoops read the post wrong, I have only seen them on the side, not attached to the back.

Aaah... a 'seal' thread! I like this stuff! :)

Well, what I can really say is nothing is 100% sure with SNK.

The seals we're talking about where designed for use with the ld style cases. Most probably SNK just keeped using them on snaplock boxes too till they ran out of them.

Another kind of seal is reported to exist. A small, full olored adhesiv NeoGeo logo. It seems i was used on some of the FIRSTS snaplock games.

I got a KOF95 with it from NeoBomber himself.

The last games which used the seal where released in 97. We're talking about Gekka1 or KOF97, but there's nothng like a clear mark.

This is SNK after all... do you remeber the infamous GoldWarning sticker issue? You got the idea... :)

KOF98 was sometimes reported to be seale with a special full-paper white adhesive custom seal, too.

And what about the baggies? I've spotted something like three kinds of baggies which seem to be official SNK just forthe 'small size' instruction blookets.

Once I even got a brand new game in whichthe baggie was well closed with a good old piee of extra-common adhesive tape.

SNK, I love you. Thank you for feed so well all my collection paranoias...

On the new style carts I have only seen them on the side of the snap lock not on the snap lock. I think once SNK ran out the stickers they stopped using them.

The world upside-down is the world we live in.

Got all your stuff here, BTW.

edit: The Last Blade was the first game not to use the sealing sticker.

Once the clear rectangular seals ran out, some games I got came with a very small(maybe 1/2 inch dia.)color sticker on the seal. The sticker was the standard yellow/blue Japanese Neo Geo logo.
Strange, since it was so small it didn't really seal anything.

I've seen those a bunch of times, however ONLY ever on KoF '95, as Shito mentioned on that copy I sold him. What game(s) have you seen them on?

In my guess, those tiny stickers were designed as the stickers for the 'new' snaplock cases.

SNKemplyoee: boss, we've got a problem!

SNKboss: say what?

SNKe: the new sealing stickers are as useless as crap.

SNKb: well, so just go back using the old ones. We still have loads of them in our stock, right?

SNKe: but, boss... those are not designed for the new cases we're now using.

SNKb: nobody will ever complain. Nor even notice, I think. Our games are so damn cheap after all...

SNKe: yessir!

I THOUGHT that statement of mine was wrong somehow.

I have hear a Samurai Spirits Amakusa Kourin which has that same colourful NG sticker on the side. So that's two games now. Anymore?
