I am just kind of curious what other people are doing with their games to keep them in good condition. I have seen some gamers wrap their games in plastic wrap so they don't get dust on them and I have seen others keep in boxes and other stuff like that. So how do you protect your valuable games?

i protect most of my games with that plastic wrappers....

in the case of CDs game, i store the original case in plastic wrap, and just use a normal casing to store the game cd, so that the original case will always be in pristine condition....

neo games, i keep them in the wrappers all the time, i rarely play it nowadays, (*just got my saturn + radiant silvergun :D )....

I store rare and valuable games exactly the way I store common games. I put them in a shelf and take 'em out if I want to play them.
I don't get the point in storing more expensive games specially....games were made to be played so I play them and don't care if they get some scratches.
I usually keep the games I buy so I don't really care for their re-selling value.

Of course I take care that they don't suffer from heavy damage but I don't put extra effort in keeping them minty-fresh. :)

Each individual game is wrapped in carbon fibre-kevlar composite, and sealed in a lead lined, air tight container with a base of cotton wool and rose petals.
Each container is then put into another air tight lead lined container with a cotton wool base and rose petals.
Then these containers are placed in groups of five inside large titatnium cases, lined with lead with cotton wool and rose petal beddings.
Each case is individually data tagged and fitted with a tracking device.
The cases are stacked in no more than 3 cases high and 3 case wide in a maximum security vault.
The vault is in a top secret location, inside a high-tech, top secret military base that nobody know's exisits.
The vault itself is inside a huge radioactive chamber 500 feet below sea level.
The vault is armed with the latest high tech laser defence system and CCTV cameras. It also has a small thermo-nuclear device in case security is full breached.
Each cart has to be released via an executive decision by the joint-chiefs of staff, the President, and PM of Britain. Each cart takes on average 6 months to be released.
The carts are then transfered by heavily armed staff to my house where they're imeadiatly taken to a air sealed vacuum chamber.
I play my AES behind 5ft of re-enforced glass composite and can only play each title for 5 minutes before it is transfered back to the vault.

I saw in the collection pics that somebody had theirs in ziploc bags, so that's what I've started to do as well. Other than that they're in a nice dark closet that I have that's totally devoted to my gaming habit :) .

I used to protect the carts with the plastic wraps you can buy in a comics shop, but the carts looked bad and I got tired of opening and closing the baggies, so now my games are just on the shelf.

Edit: One friend of mine protects his Neo and expensive import games like Tarma said, and he even insured his video games collection in more than 15000 EUROS!

Yeah, it's gonna take me 6 months to recover from the sonic-overload that's LOSJ...

I'm a bit pissed off thou... apparently my brand new carton box copy of The Super Spy has become radioactive :(

You must come and visit one day! Pick a game and I'll put a request in for its release - don't forget to give me 6 months notice. ;)

I also have to apply to get you security clearance... unless of course you want to be shot after our five minutes is up...

I bury mine at different parks across America. Occasionally I end up stumbling upon decaying body parts -but most of the time they're former criminals, but sometimes -well...

... How do you think they found Chandra Levy's body?

I was just scouting for places to bury Metal Slug 4 once its released. Do I sometimes forget where I bury them? Yes, but at least that prevents any of you from getting me gold, er, games :D

I use my MVS carts as lawn knomes. They tend to stand out greatly against the tulips and azaleas. My King of Fighters '98 AES cart is used as a weather vane (with N, S, E, and W written in big bold letters using a black marker). As for my Neo-Geo CDs, they're being used for a dance floor I'm constructing (can't wait until it's finished).

No worries! I'll inform both MI5 and the CIA tomorrow morning...

They'll have to perform a few background checks...nothing serious ;)

Oh! We'll have to get you fitted for a radiation suit as well. :)
