A Blazing Star home cart just fetched $700+ on eBay!
<img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" />
what is up with that?

First, is this: <a href="http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1333734948" target="_blank">http://cgi.ebay.com/aw-cgi/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=1333734948</a>

Secondly, forum member 16-bit sold his the other day for $700!
Why all of a sudden are people paying so much for Blazing Star!?
Price range is $500 to $600.
Thoughts or ideas, anyone?

Well,SOME Neo games aren't ecactly getting cheaper...
It's not as bad as the MS1 that went from $1300-price-list to $2800-Ebay-selling-price...; <img src="graemlins/smirk.gif" border="0" alt="[Smirk]" />

Expect Pulstar to fetch more and more in the future,too... :(

Well, Blazing Star rocks, and not many where made. No one really wants to part with it, but if they do, well, you get the idea. :D

Blazing Star is a better game than Pulstar (IMO) and the price on it has been in the $650s for quite some time now. It's not surprising that the game is going up in value.

Pulstar may go up too but I think it will always lag behind Blazing Star.

Agreed. I think the fact that Blazing Star has such fast paced, action packed game play is what makes it so valuable. Although Pulstar is quite action packed there aren’t as many ships and baddies flying all over the place. Both very high quality games though!

Pikmin, you could tell me if you still want my TSS jp cart - haven`t heard anything from you for some time now? Please let me know.

Back on topic:

Blazing Star = mindless, but extremely fun shooter
Pulstar = hardcore, extremely difficult shooter for pros

Both are graphically breathtaking each its own way. And ER of course.

Now, what do people value more?

Still people have not recognized, that this shitty "price-policy" - or however you English-speaking call "Preispolitik" in your language - is extremly getting out of hands!

A bit windy, but at least 16 to 20 degrees Celsius and sunny!

Thank you for asking!

But it was also exhausting to drive more than 2600 km with tiny van in 36 hours nonstop with to people! 2 times! forth and back!

But we made it and we were earlier back in Germany than we actually had thought!

well, i wouldn't say "mindless" to describe the Blazing Star gameplay.

it simply is completely different from the R-type oriented Pulstar gameplay.

Blazing Star has one of the most sophisticated scoring systems of any arcade shooters. the six different crafts are totally different when it comes to scoring, and the level-design is as well consequently laid out to support the scoring system.

Blazing Star is imo much more fun than "simpler" pulstar.

Still none of them is actually worth 700 $!

The price should be at 400$ MAX! <img src="graemlins/annoyed.gif" border="0" alt="[Annoyed]" />

Blazing Star is and will ever be more expensive + rare than Pulstar. There's nothing to discuss about! :)

I can't say anything regarding the quality of these games. I only played Pulstar.

There was one in 2001 that went for that much too. I can't remember when it was exactly though

I'm buying both for $500 each - just as soon as I get the cash.
