I am on the war path looking for a Prehistoric Isle 2 cart. So I decided to call some of my local arcade dealers just asking around. I called one of them and asked about PI2.

Me: Hi, I am looking for some Neo Geo MVS cartridges, particularly Prehistoric Isle 2.

Retard: Ha ha ha, We just sold about 50 of those to a guy in Mexico for $10.00 a pice.

Me: What!?

Chump ass: Yeah, we don't deal with Neo Geo any more. It's a dead system, there is no more support for it.

Me: So you have no Neo Geo stuff at all.

Fuck Nut: Nope. This guy bought it all.

Me: I hope you die in a car accdent with the car turned upside down and flames shooting everywhere. You scream and no one can get to you. Melting and burning and melting...

Anyways... I dont know if I was pissed that he sold them for $10 a piece or the fact that he was was being a ass about neo..

Oh well.. Makes me want to call all the arcade distributors to got a deal like that.

All you had to do was tell him what it was worth to folks like us, and the joke would be on him.

Actually that appears to be common pratice..

The arcade distrubutors here also sell Thier NGM's to Mexico.

my question is if the games are going for $10 a pop in Mexico how much are arcade games to play? 1 paso

At any rate the arcade distrubutor here also threw away an entire box of Memory cards as well. I rembere that day clearly.

Phil AKA Big Bruno: Do you have any MVS memory cards

Part dealer: Hey bubba do we have any of those MVS memory cards.

Bubba: I threw away they box we had last month:

Part Dealer: Sorry we threw them away

Phil: GGGAAAAAHHHHHHH!!!

of course if they had them they would tell me they were $30 a piece, funny how that works out.

On a side note I asked if they would sell the games to me next time and they said no. apparently they have some ongoing deal with dealers in mexico and I am assuming it is more the just neo they are trading. prehaps all the old arcade games go to mexico after they hace outlived thier usefullness in the US

Maybe it's a scam run by the Mexican Mafia to Suggle Drugs into the US.

"Ok eveyone gut those MVS carts and fill them with Cocain. we have another Big shippment going to **** of ***"

Well, to an operator I don't think PI2 is worth very much... I think he was being an ass though, he probably sold it for more... but I did get KOF 98 from an arcade in 1999 for $25. They sold all their Neo games for $25, no matter what it was. Too bad they sold their MVS, I would still hit them up for games today... hell though, that is where the deals are people, those arcades, when they are done with something, sell it very very cheap.

This dealer is located in San Antonio. That day I called every arcade amusement dealer in SA(about 9 of them) and only 2 of them knew what a Neo Geo or a MVS was. Another encounter with a ignorant dealer that same day..

Me: Hi, do you deal in arcade games, cabnets, parts and such?

Waste of space: Yes we deal with arcade games.

Me: Do you hapen to deal in Neo Geo MVS games.

Person who should have been aborted: I dont know about that game. We dont carry that game. I've never heard of the Neo Geo Game.

Me: *click*

I mean this is over a 10 year old system and I would think that most arcade dealers would know about it. I got transfered around a lot within my calls till I finally found someone who knew what it was, although I'd just get, "We dont deal in MVS". Oh well.. I guess bigger arcade dealers would know more about it, and I am calling smaller companies...

Same here in Shreveport, La. Not one knew of what an MVS is and it really pissed me off. The local Super 1 had a 2 slot cab and I was trying to buy it off them a few times with them never ever contacting me back. Assholes!! I walk in recently, and guess what, No MVS. I didn't even bother and just left, never to go in again. I shop at Wal Mart or Albertsons now. Thank god for EBAY.

You were barking up the wrong tree.
I've never seen a grocery store actully own the arcade Cabs in it.

They are almost always owned by an OP.
Who runs a route.
He keeps his machines in stores, bars, laundry mats, etc.
The store sees a small % of cash back, & thats how he makes his living.

If the machine makes $$, it stays, if it's not,
he'll move it to one of his many other locations.

Thats does not mean it was sold, its probably sitting in some laundry mat,
or at his warehouse being repaired, stripped.

You need to request the contact info for the arcade OP they are using. The managers office will have that info.

Then contact him directly to see if he will Sell to you.

Asking store employees to buy it will get you a big fat zero response.
