About a week ago, I contacted Dion about converting a Kizuna Encounter MVS cart to AES. His answer contradicts alot of what has been said on these forums:

My statement to him:

Hi, I noticed on your website that you convert MVS carts to AES carts for a fee. I'm due to receive a Kizuna Encounter MVS soon and would like to get it converted to AES. I have a few questions about this.

1. How closely does the conversion resemble the REAL AES? Does it include color instruction manual/inserts etc. In short, is there a big difference?

2. How much does it cost?

3. How long does it usually take to complete one of these jobs?

I hope that you still do these conversions because I would really like to have it done. Thanks.

Dion's response:
The conversions will look perfect. It requires a sac AES cart, so of course it will look as good as the cart you're using as a sac. The fee is only $100. It takes 1 to 2 weeks.

thank you,

Dion

I also do conversions as well. I can get you a sticker for the Kizuna Encounter, but I don't have an insert.

NGF likes to leave out alot of details.

thier conversion fee is $100. that does not include the sac NGH cart or any of the artwork.

you will have to buy a SAC NGH cart to send them. for a kizuna I am not sure but probably a FF3 would work.

you will also have to pay them extra for the artwork which will be inkjet printed.

Not that anyone else doing conversion would do the same thing as far as making color prints of the inserts and such. But it would be nice to get a straight answer. Personally I made it a point never to deal with NGF but as i have always said to each his own.

I have always stayed away from conversions because of the wiring involved in making them, I also have seen NGF's work.

the only conversion exception i make is with Strikers 1945 by !Arcade!. which appears to be done professionaly on a pressed PCB not a hack job.

when it comes to games like Kizuna though I play it on the convertor which is my personal preference. I also believe the cart will last longer since it is on a factory pressed PCB made for it, not converted to work.

This is my oppinion on the subject take it for what it is worth.
