I was hoping to buy a Japanese AES system but I wasn't sure if an English RF Adapter would be compatible with it. If anyone could help me out it would make my system get in my hands much faster. :)

BTW, I am new and nice to meet you all.

I had thought it should work no problem, but this is a pretty good hunk of cash I am going to be putting down. I just wanted to be absolutely postive so I could start playing the day I get it.

I'll be getting KOF'01 with it as well, who could wait for that?

Don't get me wrong I'm a die hard fan of all fighting games, new or old. I fully intend to make every KOF, SS, FF, and every other fighter from Neo-Geo mine. I just want to start my new Neo-Geo with a bang. :D

Why use RF instead of S-video or even composite?

maybe his tv doesnt have either hook up, which sucks, b/c the s-video mods looks nice a crisp compaired to the composite, and the composite looks much better than the RF. I can not image the blurryness of the RF...You you start your neo collection out with a bang, yes, but maybe start with a new tv first

Sadly I have to use a RF Adapter for my TV, yes it sucks but I deal with what I have. And I am already saving up for a brand new TV, I just really want my Neo-Geo first.

I've seen the video with the RF adaptor, and lets just say it's nothing pretty. That's ok though you'll still be getting a really great game, and an even better system. It's almost a good thing to start out like this though. When you do finally get S-video or RGB you will fall in love with every single game you have all over again. It truly makes a world of difference.

Does the system you are buying have the S-video mod done already? If not you should maybe look into getting a system with the mod job already done, or send it to !Arcade! (www.neogeousa.com) and have them mod the system.

As to your original question, yes the RF adaptor you are going to use will work just fine.

Please continue to help this Neo-Newbie out. Say I get a Neo-Geo fully modded that supports S-Video, but I still need a TV that supports this dont I? What am I looking for in a TV? Any specific TV's that yourselves use that have the S-Video. I want to get the best things I possibly can, so any info would be appreciated.

The best TV you can use that have S-Video is Sony Wega, nowadays almost every TV has S-Video input anyway....

I checked my whole TV and all I see is the spot to connect my cable to it, what do the slots look like?

Please ignore my stupidity, I'm new at this.

OK, first of all it's a round slot, and it has

4 round holes

1 square hole

Go check it again...
