Hey all,

I bought this cart a couple days ago it still has not come yet, but I should get it on wed. One of the guys that did get there carts said it had some graphic glitches not sure if the cart was dirty or what? he did not go into much detail, but what do you guys all think. take a look and I will post back when I get the cart.

Isn't that too expensive at $100?? I mean without box, flyer, marquees, etc.??

Kewl thanks for the heads up. The cart did look a little strange so did that KOF2K1 cart from that link. What is the difference if it is a bootleg? I mean of course the original is better, but will the cart work the same. Also do colors for neo-geo carts have any significance? I mean that cart is blue do colors mean anything like in (capcom) CPS-II boards? Either way I will let you know what happens with the cart :)

thanks

The case color doesn't make a difference. You shouldn't be able to tell the difference between a KOF2K boot and the original, the risk is associated with the quality of the boards themselves. For all you know, some amatuer tech guy could have slapped those together in his garage, a far cry from the high standards set by SNK and their factory-produced kits. Older bootlegs like MOTW were created using prototype dumps, which is why some animations and endings are missing as well as the occasional glitch here and there.

But then again, you could have that cart for 20 years and it could play like the original without so much as a hiccup. That's the gamble involved with boots. As for the $100 price tag, that's too much to pay for a bare bootleg cart (if it is indeed one). That's just me though.
