I am to lazy to post my statement again, but I think this community should be renamed into rivalry. Or maybe the idea of a community should vanishe, since it already faded with the development of the Price Guide and it´s developing!

I confess, I've used the price guide this week. I just wanted to check and make sure we were both getting an equal deal! I didn't want to ask to much from the guy.

About the Bahamut/Kyogen Star issue: Nah, I don't think it's right. Sure, I thought the price was too high, but it wasn't my dollar to spend. I would never spend the money for the AES version, I'd just go MVS.

I didn't come here to buy/sell/trade initially, I'll do that on ebay. I just wanted to talk about the NEO with other like minded individuals.

As to people being 'greedy' about their games/collections: If you want to collect, more power to you. You're not being greedy IMO. Everyone needs a hobby, it's like collecting stamps, matchbook covers, comic books, etc. I don't think there's anything wrong with it. I collect systems, and if a game comes along that I want, I get it or save my money so I can in the future.

Personnaly I don't want to label anyone greedy, if you may have worked your ass off to accumulate what you have, I will sit in awe of you. That is what you've done and I will give respect for that, although it may not be the same direction I have chose to send my life. Although technically Pride is a sin, you have a right to be proud of something, and people are proud of their collections.

This issue is just one topic of tons of threads in which there is just friendly talk of Neo.

(@ the_move: oh, and when I say you, you're etc, I don't mean you personnally, just a broad general public.)

I´ll try, but I am not sure if I can convince him, since this Bahamut guy sent some very irritating Mails! Ralph went very stubborn. I think he will sooner or later, but it´s also depending on how the scene (thanks for that expression, BRANDI) will react in the future.

Especially that filthy sigs should vanish and all the whining and insulting!

I have not care for any of the stupidass stuff that is put on this board other than the Neo Geo. <img src="graemlins/eye.gif" border="0" alt="[Eye]" /> <img src="graemlins/eye.gif" border="0" alt="[Eye]" /> at what has happen with the high poster/spammers, and retards who are here becasue they need some human attention. I usually don't get involved in all the other BS that gets into this forum. I just want neo-geo related news, opinions, rumors, etc. However, I have noticed that a lot of people are getting out of hand with their signatures and pictures. Simone, I am not blind! Of course, the price guide has it´s use, but most of the time it is abused.

How many people trying to do an even better deal, finding an idiot, who would even pay 200$ more than the MAX shown in the guide! And when this does happen a couple of times the guide is altered to that amount!

Now the price guide tells something about 1500+ $MAX for a jpn copy! I doubt that this "+" can make up 125$ +!

It is no wonder why the price guide is raised frequently in case of MS games. Asking 1625 $ for an US copy I would say okay (altough it still is not okay) but for a japanese copy?!

Everyone is takes the guide´s MAXIMUM PRICE as a MINIMUM price, if even this is enough!

I think many people too often ignore the minimum price.

Of course the "+" means a lot of times well more than the maximum quote listed in the price guide.

Metal slug example you brought up is just a perfect example: it was sold in the neo store for $2200,the US one sold on ebay for $2800 EVEN if the price guide states $2000+.

Supply and demand is ,again the key,for VERY ASKED COLLECTION ITEMS.

Steven ,some videogames are a piece of art and neo geo games are just that.

Simple as that.

More,look at it this way:
Home carts were super expensive already from the release date and so not intended to be mass market.
Now we have a climax,and if your smart enough you can grasp the ctual situation of the real neo geo scene:
all the real rare home carts found a home thanks to real collectors who will not let them go.

The price guide is only a guide and MANY times people pay even more that what is listed there.

Kizuna jap sells for over $900 in Italy when you can find it,private sales.

All keep on giving praises to metal slugs and so,the price can escale even greater.
