do other gamers question your neo collection?

I traded my PS2 for my AES system, and alot of my friends said that I was crazy. They are fools and they just don't understand because they are a gang of crap fuck-faces. Do people ever look at your collection and say "neo what? what the hell are those?" or "why do you play those old things when you can play Halo on the X-Box?" like people do at my house?

Actually, before I headed off to college in late 2000, I had (and still have) a neighborhood full of retro gamers (my younger brother being one of them). When I told them (bro and a few of his friends) back in November 2001 that I was going to get a Neo-Geo system, they all said one thing,
"GET METAL SLUG!". I did (MVS cart, of course), and now, they're all over the system like Oprah at an all-you-can-eat buffet.

I am very lucky, i have friends that do understand why i like neogeo, one of them even bought samurai shodown 4 (mvs) to play on my mvs (that is when i get it...). My other friends like to play neo geo games with me. One of my friend is not a big gamer but he still buys NES games just 'cause he has loads of fun with them. My gf likes neo games as well. her bro is like ps2 i-can-warez-everything-on-it type. He still gets impressed by the neo geo games but he still prefers ps2... at least i can play on his ps2 when i feel like trying 3d games.

I also love the response I get for the size of the cartridges. What I do find, though, is most people who appreciate good games, marvel at the graphics of the Neo, even though they've never played one before. These are, of course, people who, although own any of the current systems, still own the older 2D systems as well.

Of course, once you tell them what you pay for some carts, they get back down to earth and forget whatever small dream they just had of actually owning the system....and, of course, that you're nuts.

All my friends agree that the games are huge and, overall, Neo Geo is pretty stupid. I don't necessarily deny it - the games are horribly overpriced and cheaper versions of the same things are generally available on other systems, but I think it's a fun thing to have, so it doesn't really matter.

If you want to get any game you like, pay the goddamn money in the front.
