All because of Samuri Showdown ,

I can still remember the huge smile on my face looking at Galford and these amazing big detailed characters on my TV ,

Baseball Stars 2 was the first and still is the last reason for my Neo. KOF, Super Sidekicks, and Neo Turf Masters are all welcome and beautiful additions.

I agree with 300 meg pro gear spec.

When I saw samurai shodown in its exact arcade likeness I had to have it. It was twice what street fighter was , and then some.

I got my AES because I love to collect videogames. Basball Stars was my first game.

I had to have one as soon as I played Samurai Showdown. Everyone seemed to be obsessed with Street Fighter at the time, but I much prefered and still prefer Samurai Showdown.

Just because the games for this console was so damn expensive. $200.00 a piece back in 1990? Insane, but bought it anyway.

My Neo Geo told me to.

It was a strange experience, really. There I was in Software Etc. when, all of a sudden, the thing started talking to me. It said I was special and only I could hear him (his name was Neo). I know it must have looked weird to see a kid conversing with an inanimate object, but Neo had some really interesting things to say (although his views on geopolitics made him sound like he only read TIME Magazine). Anyway, in retrospect, I guess it could have been a the main clerk talking to me with a really well placed microphone -but after spending over $800 for the system and a game I really don't want to believe anything that would make me look like an idiot (oh, I'm an atheist BTW).

I bought my system becasue I can't stand playing all those kick ass games (KOFs, Slugs) in the arcade.
I really wanted to play them at home, in a large screen TV :) and in a nice couch :) , so I decided to buy an AES system.

Like many others, the original Samurai Shodown is why I have a Neo. Got it when it was first released. In fact, I had my SS cart before the system was delivered to my house.

I bought an Neo AES because I was tired of buying half-assed ports that played like ass. That, and I wanted a perfect arcade counterpart for Fatal Fury Special.

The Dreamcast ports of KOF were srange, and the saturn ports had slowdown, so I got an AES, mostly for the KOF series
