When I play 2D fighters, I have a nasty tendency to leg sweep constantly.

For example, I'm proned to jump kicking then going into the leg sweep.

Or, if I knock down my opponent I will try to sweep him as soon as he gets up. Either that or I will give him 2 jab kicks then the big leg sweep, hoping to catch him off guard.

I do this against CPU or Human.

How many of you play like this too? If not, HOW do you play?

I'm trying to cut back on leg sweeps and play with a little bit more 'fitness' and 'unpredictability'. Just curious for feedback!

I used to play like this too back then...

But now after hours of practise, instead I do a combo after jump kick, not sweeping....

Just try and practice other ways of attacking .

Like a move you can do standing up but hits them if they block low . Always keep people on their toes , cause most the time people will learn fast from your mistakes , don't them figure you out .

Sounds like you have played too much SF2... ;)

Seriously, just use slower charas to get rid of that habit, because most of them aren't very good in aerials.

I had that habit, too. It was caused by an overdose of WH and WH2, and any other fighter where you can't dash forward. I used to jump to quickly get close to the opponent, with the usual penalties (anti-airs, etc.)...
