I dont mean gameplay styles you dont like, or shortcomings in the character selection. I would like to hear what technical problems there are, such as collision detection, bugs, etc. When, who with, and how often do they happen?

Im trying to find out how serious of a problem this is. Almost no game has perfect collision detection.

There is already a thread similair to this, but it seems to have degraded into a flame fest. I would like short unemotional explanations of whats wrong, and how seriously it hurts the gameplay if at all.

Thanks. eek_2

serious problem~!

chun-li is way too sexy. I became addicted to playing right after choosing her. Why couldn't capcom make her look this good?

I complained about hit detection, but now that I've been playing it for two weeks I've found that it's really like typical cheap SNK bosses, as normal fighters aren't that hard.

Only after watching someone else play the game, I've noticed the collision detection is noticably off, however it didn't seem to affect my experience with the game, seeing has how my decision to block an incoming attack does not come down to me scrutinizing just EXACTLY how many pixels are between me and the opponent. The biggest problem occurs with any type of rising attack i.e.-Dragon punch, Kyo's spiral flame (sorry I don't know the real names), what usually occurs is that you don't connect whereas visually it appears you should have hit the opponent.

Example- The flame from Ken' s dragon punch does not affect the enemy if they follow Ken into the air, in most other Capcom games, they are set on fire and take damage.

Problems....hmmm.
Well I've only had it for a weekend now but ....

ryu's dragon punch is harder to pull off. I know that sounds like some newbie gripe, but no, really, something is not right about the way the move is now triggered. Any other character with it seems fine, but the distinction between quarter circle, half circle, and dragon punch seem to conflict at times and you'll get a fireball when you want the dragon-punch. I can pull dragon-punches like they were on tap on any other game and with any other character in svc.

Guile can air throw terry out of a burning knuckle. Total teleport as terry is on the ground one frame and in the air the next.

Guile can airthrow terry out of a crack shot.

Guile can airthrow pretty much anyone out of anything. Mai out of her head dive move, etc...

There doesn't seem to be any negative edge (moves executed on release of the button as well as on pressing the button) this is just something I've been getting into on third strike and having that gone seems wierd.

Often when two people perform supers at almost the same time the last person to execute gets priority.

Moves that look like overheads are at times not, I can't think of a good one right now, (other than terry's crack shot being more like KoF than MoTW) but there were a couple times when I remember thinking that something didn't connect when it should...

Not really a problem but odd stuff,

Leg sweeps on Ryu and Ken are down toward and heavy kick. If you've played a lot of capcom games you'll find yourself waiting for the leg sweep and not getting it at first. Overheads like ryus medium punch are light punch and towards which works pretty well, but it seems more reversed with the sweeps, making his heavy kick more of a medium and the toward and heavy kick being the actual heavy kick....you get used to it though.

Terry's buster wolf is really fast now. I don't think its a problem per say, but its speed seems out of place.

Over all I feel its a great game with a lot of love that shows in a lot of areas, but there's also a lot of slop.

One small gripe is when you select a fighter and you select a different colour clothing it doesnt show up on the vs screen and if you are fighting against your double both atre shown on vs screen wearing same colour which is something they could have easily modded
