Curious Question.Just wondering..
How many members here post at this site.NGF-USA

I know nothing about the site except for what I read here but it doesn't look as popular as this one is.
NGF-USA looks like a bootleg of this site.(Sorry)

Which site was created first.NGF-USA or
Neo-Geo.com?

Oh yea I forgot.I had to join NGF-USA just to read the posting and what goes there.

NGF-USA wouldn't allow me to browse the forums unless I became a member.
Why..?

It's pretty boring.
You've got Makismo trying to create conversation...
Leslie being all....well, retarded.
And occasional posts by Chris and Dion showing off their wangs.

Those forums aka misinformation exchange are "stillborn".

Those forums over there represent what NGF attempted to turn this whole scene into with their twisted philosophy of ink stamping, stickering, vandalizing and bootlegging of authentic SNK & 3rd party merchandise.
I mean...just look @ it...
Is that the type of community you would feel good participating in?
Let NGF serve as a reminder of what we NEVER want this scene to turn into! We NEVER want a dominant influence such as that!

I joined just to witness first hand the drama that is NGF. ;) I don't post there, but I'm debating posting stuff there just to see how fast I could get banned.

I think that the people who post there (the NGFreaks) feel obligated to post there because, well, after you spend a lot of money on something, you kinda become loyal towards it.

The strange thing is the more money you spend, and the less worthwhile whatever it is you're buying, the more loyal towards that thing you become. A person's brain can't handle the contradiction of spending a lot of money on something worthless, so they either stop spending the money, or they become violently attached to whatever it is they're buying.
Their brain justifies the money they've just spent by vastly overestimating the worth of their possessions.

That's what NGF reminds me of. I don't know if their games are either low-quality boots or conversions, or originals with inserts mutilated and the price jacked up, but whatever they are they're not worth it. So the people who buy these things justify their choice by posting messages about how great things are at NGF.

Furthermore, I think the folks at NGF are well aware of this, and cash in on this phenomenon by inventing terms like 'Big Tymers' to describe the people who spend too much money.

and one more thing, now that I'm on a roll...

I think that Leslie M Collins character is just an invention. No one spells that badly, or posts such inane drivel except on purpose. I mean c'mon, if you have enough brains to surf the Net, and post messages on a board, then you ought to have enough brains to hit the 'spell check' button...

I think Leslie's real, compared to some other people I've met in my life he's a Rhodes scholar.

Nope, leslie is real.

Ask Jigen, he met him.

And there is a thread in the War Room that has pics, I forget the title and I'm too lazy to go look for it.

I went and checked this forum one time and even my grand mother has more things to say on neo geo than all the members.

I got booted from there a while ago after I posted some things that differed from Dion's opinion. I wasn't going there to blast anyone, just offer up a different point of view.

My messages were edited by Dion soon after and I was banned. I was "exposed" by Dion as he said, but it was obvious from my email address who I was. I also asked Dion to take out my private email address out of his forums. He took it out of his post, but when people quoted him, he said "You'll have to ask them to remove it they're not my messages".. dick!

I went there once and joined for the hell of it, but now forgot the user name and pass. It seemed pretty lame at the time. Few posts and mostly talking shite and pumping up the dodgy traders.
Propiganda is a wonderfull thing.
