Master List/ KOF 2000 Question

Was there ever an official KOF 2000 US release? I see on the price guide it says "questionable NGF release". In the master list it has an (n) next to it. What does that mean? Was it ever offered for sale by Shawn when it was a new release. I'm assuming Neo-Geo.com wasn't the official distributor at that time. It is bothering me that it wasn't that long ago but I can't remember.
