Hello to you all. I was wondering what is the best system ever? Ok we all know Neo Geo would be it but what would be the next or second best system ever and why?

I'd have to say Turbo Duo. First CD based system and it plays the HuCards too! Plays both US and Japanese CDs and is home to some of the best shooters ever and Bonk!

At what point was it not obvious that the NES pummeled the comp? Oh, and your flys down bro.

Wrong forum guy (this belongs in general discussion)

anyway, some candidates for best system would be:

- NES
- SNES
- Dreamcast

Those are the systems I would pic. Those 3 (along with the neo of coarse) are my favorite systems.

The best *system*?

From a hardware standpoint, probably the TG-16.

- first CD-Rom add-on
- credit-card sized games
- portable hardware that played the same games

Then again, it only had one controller port.

One controller port? Damn, I didn't know that. And I played one several times many many years ago. Oh well. Why in the hell would anyone ever make a system with one controller port? Part of the whole idea of gaming is to play with/against your friends imo.

It's a tossup between the SNES and PSX. Just two great consoles with a bunch of great games.

OH MY GOSH! Thank you, I though everyone forgot about what the NES did for gaming. Sure there were a few hundred bad carts, which is more than most systems ever put out period, but out of 700+ official games, thats not too bad of a score. The NES branched out in so many directions of compatability and playability. Reguardless of whether of not they succeeded or failed, there was the power pad, the power glove, the zapper, ROB the robot, the satalite, etc... And talk about legends, so many epic characters were created through the NES I won't even start to name the heroes (and villans). The longest standing production of games (and largest collection) of any system on the market. Games you just pick up and play, thats it, thats all. Exactly what games were designed to do.

*Super Nintendo*
The only RPG's i can stand to play were made for this system!
The N64 was the biggest disappointment of my gaming life i didnt get back into games untill
*Dreamcast*
The only system with Power Stone 2!
F*** the PS2 hype for killing this system so fast.

Sorry, Xbox has been my favorite every since I got into the mod scene.

NeoGeo will always be held close to my heart, and I'll always have an AES system in my game room.

NES, it started so much. Dreamcast is up there but having one disk with over 700 nes games on it for the dreamcast is just the best of both worlds.
