Hey, I haven't posted here in a while, I never posted much before, either, as most of you ahve forgotten more about SNK than I will ever know. Anyways, 5 months ago I moved to Osaka, to do what most Archaeology graduates do after finishing University-teach english. I loved videogames before, but Japan really is like paradise. The problem is, while I love the games SNK makes, I don't own an AES, and usually just play them in the arcades, or on the ps2, etc., (I know, boo...hiss). Anyways, while games certainly are pricey here, they are alot cheaper than in Canada, or I assume, the States, especially Neo Geo CD games. Was the CD that much of a bomb? I mean, every game store has racks of CD games, some as low as 1-2 dollars. I mean, that just seems wrong to me, and makes me suspicious of picking up a CD unit for the 30-50 dollars they cost here. AES units are pretty cheap, too, and games like Samurai Spirits are 3 dollars, although the good ones like KOF 2002 are expensive, 30,000 yen, or maybe 250 American. SVC Chaos is being really well received, every arcade now has at least one cabinet, and it's true, there are arcades everywhere, the nearest one is a 30 second walk from my house, and there are about 3-4 more within 5-10 minutes distance by foot. So, if you have any questions, or need me to check up on prices, or anything, think of me as your man in Japan, I usually hang out in Den-Den Town (Osaka's Akihabara) anyways, since it's 10 minutes from my apartment, so I would be glad to lend a hand with info, prices, etc. Thanks for reading.
