Euro Kizuna Encouter is the rarest of them all.

Rare, but not in the same league your talking about:

Blazing Star
Magical Drop 3
Waku Waku 7
US Mark of the Wolves

Just take a look at the price guide and you should see which titles are rare and which one aren't.

If the homecarts are in mint, unused condition with no sunfade:

-Many carton box versions of games

-Many titles released in 1996 (Fu'un, Slug 1, Ninja Masters...)

-Both Stakes Winners, Quiz Chibi Maruko Chan, both Magical Drops,
Twinkle Star Sprites, Viewpoint, Pulstar and Blazing Star (all JPN releases)

-Ultimate 11 (any version)

The price guide has many rare games to list, but in terms of real market, US games in Super NM+ to even I dare say mint condition of the following are ridiculously hard to find:

Last Blade 1
Real Bout Fatal Fury Special
Real Bout Fatal Fury 2
World Heroes Perfect

However, there have been some recent board and ebay listings of some rare US games recently.

I have already seen two threads with a US metal slug X in them. One thread with a US Last Blade 1. A thread and an ebay listing for a US AOF3.

However, I have not seen yet a US RBFF2 in the threads yet, nor a US RBFFS. I have seen a RBFFS on ebay about a month back in the U.K.

And to note: the condition of the games I have seen for sale recently really vary on a wide scale. From NM+ to really just average.

But, it ain't common as dirt, but, not as rare as Waku Waku 7 or Metal Slug.

I know many wont agree, but IMO Waku Waku 7 isnt that rare at all. I would list it as uncommon.
Many have slipped out of JP, (Also check ebay)

I would say MS - ER, WW7 - UC, KOF 96 UC

We toss rare around way to much with English carts. Some JP only ones as well.
A high price really does not denote a rarity.
The demand isnt really there for certain games.
Most collectors already got what they need.
I'm not trying to tell you something you do not know, just stating how I feel about it..

Rarity falls in the opinion pile before the facts one.

Good point.

WWW7,as Kizuna and Ninja master jap are COMMON carts nowadays, just have a look on Ebay.
We are seeing the same happening with Ragnagard,World Heroes perfect and many more jap titles.
Prices for those titles are dropping as well.
Too many and demand for those is quite feeble.
US versions of above games are totally another matter.

This thread really makes me think about the current price guide we have and the actual process of updating it.

It lists online vendors, boards, and ebay for it's reference. Well, how does selling get tracked through those channels? There have been many recent sales on this forum but does each sale get tracked in order to get a neo-geo.com specific view on the market. Total market value would encompass all the channels' sales.
