Seems used copies of neo-geo.com's own new releases seem to hold a high price on the price guide, despite the fact these games are availablefor a lot less than what the price guide advises is their market price.

US versions of slug 4 and sengoku 3 are a case in point. These are hardly "uncommon" and there is a slug 4 US on sale in the selling forum right now for $200 shipped, way less than the recommended $265 that still wont sell.

Andmany US sengoku 3's appear for around $120 that dont sell either.

Maybe the price guide needs an update.

Are you calling a game with a production run of 300 common? SamShoII had a 20.000+ production - that is commonly known as common (pun intended wink ).

Also watch was is going to happen if the last few copies of Slug 3+4 sell out. :D

I dont think anything is going to happen if run out. The people who wanted them mostly already have them and others have resold. Many circulate 2nd hand.Laurent refused to take mine in, as he said he already had too many.

sengoku3 just run out and look at its price now. people cant sell for $120 if U look at the selling forum lately.

My only point is that the price guide for those games is inaccurate if you just look at the prices those games are being sold these days.

Isnt the price guide supposed to reflect current prices instead of trying to predict or manipulate future ones?

Also ROTD is dropping prices in every aucton and personal sales.

Just pop an eye in the selling threads and eBay and you'll see.

It's just so stupid how it went up to 400+ dollars just after the neostore ran out of stock... NCSX still had 9 copies at that time.

To be honest, I rarely pay attention to the price guide as it seems its more applicable to the states rather than the UK, especially the MVS guide. I have picked up driftout, dodgeball, english pleasure goal and neo mr do! all for under 30 quid with marquee.

Good bargains and fair pricing are where you find them.

Yep... the price guide sorta doesn't reflect prices in europe and out of the USA... have picked up GREAT bargains recently from loads of GREAT (and not so great) places.

I am generating my own price guide.

I have been recording final ending auction prices on certain AES games since April of this year. The data is interesting.

I can't deny that these eBay prices are the law. Looking at several samples of the same games within a month time period gives me a very accurate indication of the games worth, at least for the eBay market that is.

In fact I was thinking of revaluing my AES collection with eBay prices in mind, instead of the price guide on this site.
