I have a question. Are Neo Geo AES carts supposed to rattle? All of the ones I own seem to, so I don't know if this is just normal or all my carts are falling apart. Any help would be nice. Thanks in advance.

You mean the two pcb's in the cart seem kinda loose ? Well I think thats normal cause all the AES carts I got do the same thing . My MVS carts don't though ,

I guess that's what I mean. When I turn the shake the cart, you can hear the components inside rattling. Nothing sounds like it's broken, just loose. So, that's normal then?

Yep, Neo carts rattle like a mofo. Even MVS carts for the most part...

"Shake, Rattle and Roll!" :D

Well I'd never roll my NeoGeo carts but I
shaked them a little bit and yes they all
rattle inside. Nothing to worry.
Must be all this great gaming action inside this black plastic that causes the rattling. <img src="graemlins/glee.gif" border="0" alt="[Glee]" />

Ya, the rattling is quite normal. Nothing to be worried about. :)

It's an assurance of high quality gaming. :D

NGPC kicks ass because all NGPC games support this feature as well. ;)

Nintendo, realizing the direct corellation between game quality+cart rattling used the same method on the GBA, and low and behold it kicks ass too! :D

Press your thumb on the pcb edges and shake your cart. If you still get a rattling sound like a small piece of plastic bouncing around, it's probably it. It's from one of the eight catches that hold the cart together. You can't do much about it though unless you open up the cart and take it out. It wouldn't affect anything to leave it in there though as it doesn't short anything.
