the sections in the side car of the bike was something i was looking forward to , but it just came across as something trying desperately to hide the lack of anything truely new in the game.

the series needs something new and fresh, i`m going to go back to the arcade in Meguro and play it again. My GF went there today - also a big MS4 nut - she has returned with the same feelings of disappointment.

I must agree with you, "recycle".
Just play Metal Slug 4 today in arcade and what a disappointment. I was shocked when nobody was playing them even though its a new game??
This game reminds me of sengoku 3, shooting at soldiers and tanks repeating. Wheres the aliens? wheres the insect? wheres the zombies?

Worst of all is the background, it look like plain static wallpaper without any animation, only your character and enemies are moving.

Guess they can't recycle the background.
Managed to play till level 3 the ice mountain, Game over and too boring to continue.
For those who got high hopes for Metal Slug 4, you be disappointed.

Only recommended to those who did not play Metal slug series before or part 3 before.

Guessed what happen when you licensed to sub-contractor to do the job.

who will play MS in Singapore? Have you seen anyone actually pumping coins in except KOF? As the manager from Superbowl told me last week "Wow, ya the only one wanting ms4, the only game making money is KOF! NO Neo geo game except KOF is worth bringing in and they are cheaper too."
