Don't need to say anything more, but I haven't seen this game on Yahoo Japan for over a year and here's the final bid, 254,500 Yen, that's over $2000, looks like Metal Slug AES isn't the only outragious game out there.

I spent a year and a half looking for that game... Of course I found it for $100... but that is not the point... hehe, it is insanely rare, much more rare then Metal Slug... I can see it going for that much on AES, I mean, I have only ever seen, well two now for sale... And it is deffinetly a very special game...

Forget that: I can get you Super Mario/Duck Hunt/World Class Track Meet! (and maybe even the power pad)

Unlike artificially hyped "rare" games like Metal Slug X, Metal Slug 1, and Ninja Masters, this game is ACTUALLY rare.

Vince - like you said, it's been over a year since that game has appeared on yahoo. Collectors were all drooling when that cart showed up. I was naively thinking that I could get it, but then Nikke bid up to 84000 and I backed out figuring that it hit the respectable level, and that it would hit the US through him at a decent price at least. $2000+ though is pretty sick, but I guess expected, considering it's so rarely seen on any market.

Please stop it!

Everytime an AES's price skyrockets some people say "MVS is cheaper", "MVS is the way to go", "MVS blah blah blah"...

WE GOT IT!

Please note that this is not an attack versus polnareef. I'm simply tired of this!

This game is very rare but the market is good if you want one.

I count 4 of them:

Shawn sold one from Adol's collection $1400
Last Resort (Frank) sold his on ebay for about the same
Simone had his up for trade last week
This one on yahoo Japan.

nruva, you must not look very hard because there have been many copies of this game on the open market in the last few months.

Again, I'm not saying it's not rare, I'm saying that it's not that hard to find one if you're prepared for them when they become available.

You know, if you were only collecting MVS carts, do you think CMDQ would even cross your mind? I know I wouldn't give a shit about it.

You may be right wolf... maybe it is not hard to find, but I found it quite difficult to locate when I wanted it. Regardless, yeah, if you want it, you can get it, as for anything, but then again I paid quite a fraction less for this game. We all have our sources I guess, yours just may be better... I still say this game is rare.

"What is this ....
Chibimaruko Games...?"

Of the 4 quiz games there are on Neo-Geo, this is by far the best one. Chibimaruko (technically means Little Cherry Girl) is a popular Japanese cartton and anime characters, just like Dragon Ball Z and Doraemon, there're also merchandise made for Chibimaruko, suck as manga, snacks, video.

In this game, you select 3 of the characters from the cartoon characters and compete against another trio, if you want to play this game, try to understand some Jp terms. There're many more subjects involved in the questions than Quiz KOF and Daissousa Sen, there're mini games between stages that plays more like Mario Party. I wonder why Takara made so few copies of these, I'd be glad if they port the game to NGCD.

Besides Chibimaruko Quiz, the following games follow on top of the rarity list, if it ever comes up on any auction, it'd be insane

Overtop
Neo Turfmasters
Ultimate 11
Twinklestar Sprites
Blazing Star

I disagree.

On Yahoo, Blazing Star was up a couple weeks ago, so was Ultimate 11 (in a set), and Twinkle Star Sprites even more recently (I think 2 copies of it, but 1 for sure).

OverTop, and Big Tournament Golf.......forget it, just forget it, is what I say from my experience. But Japan is a funny place. You'll find more copies of Kizuna Encounter for sale, than you will both Magical Drop games combined.
