I know there have been many lists of what games are good, what games you should own, what sucks, blah blah blah. What I want now is THE list of AES/MVS games that any NEO games MUST have in their collection! I do not want any "all of them" or "whatever you like" type of answers, those are cop-out type of answers. Give me real, legit titles here people!

Thanks,

GAMEFAN

fine.

SS2,
KoF 98,
MotW,
Blazing Star

pretty bland huh. If I was making my own list it would include: Kizuna (yes I love this game), Ninja Masters, Kof 94, kof 95, Samursi Shodown 1, Samurai Shodown 3, Pulstar, Metal Slug (price removes it from the must haves), Metal Slug X, Shock Troopers 3, Sengoku 2001 (fuck yeah, bitch, suck it with my 50 hit combo), and Magical Drop 3.

MVS:
Blazing Star, MARK OF THE WOLVES, King of Fighter 99, Metal Slug 1, Samurai Shodown 2+4, and Waku Waku 7.
Metal Slug 3 is OK. Samurai 4 is better than 2. Most people here will probably bash me for saying King of Fighters 99 but I really enjoy it. Hope this helps

Yes, thanks all for the replies! This does really help. I am trying to start my AES/MVS collection and need to know what is really worth getting. Now can anyone break them into categories for me, IE shooters, action, fighting? That would help a lot!

That's a full six slot.

But are you sure about last blade 1? Why not Last blade 2? :)

Just out of curiousity, how much would the entire Japanese KOF AES carts cost? I mainly want to get into NEO for those games.

Ray7,

I would at least like them in great condition. I am a gamer, but not a bum. I would like all my games in great to mint condition.

Whoa there! let me break it down gently

kof 94: $80
kof 95: $110
kof 96: $120
kof 97: $120
kof 98: winston goh was selling for $102 last week :)
kof 99: $150
kof 2000: $200
KoF 2001: $295

These are all rough values that are give or take $10-$20.

MVS now is another story. A lot cheaper for the first 5 carts, but kof 2000 and kof 2001 still might run a bit more.

Then since I am a gamer, should I just get a cabinet and only buy MVS games? I know I cannot afford that kind of money. How much do you think the MVS versions would go for? Under a grand?

Well, I flip flop a lot on that game. Both are great.. I think I just used Last Blade as a generic term. I didnt want to say both of them. I do think one or both should be in any neo collection.

definitely. I bet you could get all the MVS games you would really want (I mean, not completing the collection) for under $2000, if not $1000.

Thanks Evil! My next question is then what kind of cabinet should I get? Also, would it be worth getting only arcade games (NAOMI, MVS 6 slot, Crystal System, Taito F3, CPS2) over say, getting into home video games collecting? I would like an honest answer please.

If you go MVS, some must haves:

King of Fighters series.
Samurai Shodown series.
Metal Slug series.
Mark of the Wolves.
Neo Turf Masters.
Baseball Stars 2.
A shooter title of your choice.
A puzzle title of your choice.

Get those in your collection and you are good to go...
