Strikers 45+ is not all that great. The slowdown is aggravating. Actually the PS and Saturn versions of Strikers 1945 II (which this game is based on) are better.

There is hardly any slowdown in Strikers 1945, what are you talking about... Actually correct me if I am wrong, but I don't know of any slowdown at all in the game except maybe a few minor instances during boss segments (which are minor). Strikers 1945 is basicly Sonic Wings 3 with much better graphics. It is a good shooter, I recommend it totally. It may not be anything new, but it is a great Neo Geo shooter and worth the price of admission on MVS. Good graphics, great explosions, lots of planes (and a cool hidden one) lots of different super attacks and weapons to master and explore. The game is pretty short, but fun to play over and over... most of my friends prefer it over the Aerofighters/sonic wings game (although I love the strangeness of those games)... just get it!

I haven't played Aero 3, but I really like Strikers 1945.

I haven't noticed any slowdown either. Maybe it only shows up if you are in two player mode or playing the higher difficulty levels.

It is similar, but it is not the same game. It is a really good airplane shooter, I think if you like the aerofighters you will really enjoy it.

I've played tons of two player and I have not even seen slowdown when you both call out your squads on a crowded board... hehe, I can't imagine where he is seeing this slowdown, unless he is... gasp... playing the rom or something and he doesn't have enough memory in his PC.... hmmmmmm, hehe whatever, don't worry about slowdown, it is minimal at most, that was one thing I noticed right away about this game!

Yep, I agree. However, Strikers and AF are more different than just the graphics. If you dig many slow bullets that litter the screen as opposed to a few fast lethal bullets, bosses that transform into mecha, and planes that are piloted by either people who don't talk at all or automated robots (and I mean mindless drones, not Keaton), then Strikers is for you :D

I have played many of the Strikers games repeatedly (including the Neo verion) in that godly Playland arcade in State College PA. First of all, Neo Geo Strikers is its own unique game. Different bosses, stages, graphics, planes, etc. If you have Strikers 2, you don't have this game. In my humble oppinion, it is the best shmup on the Neo. Much better than Blazing Star, and I love Blazing Star! Then again, I am a Strikers whore and love all of the strikers games! :) Trust me, if you can find it, it is worth $150 easy.
