Hey, I am kind of new to this. I always liked Neo Geo and a few months ago I managed to pick up a home cart system. Payed about $180 for a europeen one with 2 controllers and 3 games (art of fighting, cyber lip and blue's journey. No awesome titles, hehe). Now I want to pick up a solid beat em up game and I need some tips. Price should try to be below $200.

I found Kabuki Klash for 175 euro (easy for me to get too since I live in Sweden and it was sold in France). Is the game worth picking up? Does it last long? Good characters, many special moves, etc.? Please help a new fan of this old classic console.

Well it is not a killer title, it is fun but it is just a cheap Samauri Spirites knock off. Save yourself some money and get SS2 or any othere SS instead, they are much better... Kubuki Klash is fun, but not a killer game.

I also saw a used copy of SS1, about £35 maybe I should go for that one instead then. Alot cheap at least.

I bet you can find SS1 and SS2 for a lot cheaper than that. £35 seems like a rip off for a used SS1.

And I wouldn't buy KK. I hated the control, and it only had 2 characters I liked to use.

Samurai Spirits games are definitely better, even though 175 Euro is a nice price for KK, from a collector's point of view...

You should get Samurai Showdown IV instead, it´s the best of the 4 parts. If you won´t pay around $320,00 for a mint US copy, go and get the a JPN Samurai Spirits II...it´s definately worth getting it. ;)

Kabuki Klash is way more colourful & flashy, more anime-styled (based off the Far East of Eden games) but in terms of gameplay and depth, Samurai Shodown beats it out easily.

If you're not familiar with the FEOE series KKlash may not mean so much to you. As a game it's more or less a Samurai Shodown clone with some nice special moves, super music, beautiful colours etc., but it terms of gameplay & storyline, hisotrical references, atmosphere, you would probably be better off with Samurai Shodown. I really like KK (you really need the mook to help learn how to play that IMO) however if you're looking for bang for the buck, go with Haohmaru & co.

I wholeheartedly disagree, so I propose that Zayon download the roms and sees for himself :)
