Same here (although I fell in love with it after a day or so).

I feel the rage as well, along with a slight tingling sensation my crotch.
Seriously, I love this game.
I didnt think much of it when I first got it, but after a few hours with it I fell in love. In its own rights it is a very fun game with a unique combo system and character designs.
First Impacts are crucial to win a match, its a war between who will land theirs first. It makes for an interesting twist, combined with some kick ass looking Team Duplex supers (Oni and Cassandra have the best one).
Only real complaint I have are Mr. Jones (lame) and Alices annoying voice over which even beats out Athenas "Psycho Ball" in terms off annoyance.

I'm addicted too... this game is really a rush <img src="graemlins/loco.gif" border="0" alt="[Loco]" /> I got it, I played it and... after a couple of days I loved it!!! presentation is funky, sound is funky, but lacks a bit in quality, graphics&bg are above average and in my opinion gamespeed is not slow...
most important point: this game is SO MUCH fun
especially in two-player mode... many sleepless nights 
BTW my fav teams are:
Billy&Lynn
Pepe&Pupa
Oni&Cassandra

Ahhh, y'see, everyone is coming arround to this game. It just takes some a little longer than others.
Sure the timing for the moves is a little different from most of SNK's past output, but once you adjust its a real blast.
My current favorate characters are Pupa (soooo cute) and Lynn (as she can nail Johann's ass no problem).
There do seem to be rather a lot of female characters in this game, not that I'm complaining. Oh, and does anyone else think that a couple of Jimmy's moves are just a bit too similar to Terry's crack shoot and burning knuckle?
If they can sharpen up the controls and improve the graphics for the (hinted at) sequel, we could be looking at a fine addition to the Neo's gaming library.

Why I am cursed with buying other AES releases. I could have had this already if I would stop buying other titles. Must stop now and buy ROTD, I need to feel THE RAGE!

do the characters have special endings?
like do you have to have special teams to get
an ending?
is there story in the game too?
for me a heavy part of the game depends on story and the
art.
i know the arts really cool and i seen the character
select screens.
but i usually play single player so i like checking
out the story too.

This is the first neo geo game I have bought new since metal slug 3 first release, and I'm not disappointed at all. I'll admit it's not incredible, but it seems like a solid fighrter that will keep me playing for a while.

"Rage of the Dragons" arrived at my front door today and I have to say, I am VERY suprised.
RotD is a tour de force.
I noticed the music right off hand, then I was treated to a nice cut scene of a character doing a fucking great combo...
I'm loving this game.
The graphics are amazing! I love the affects...the in game graphics are well done.
I believe this game could have been the next MotW but, the animation isn't QUITE as smooth.
Other than that, I would give RotD an 8\10
