Specifcally I'm curious as to how many AESes everyone owns...

For me it's one each US and Japanese.

Well I'm pleased to announce my NGCD count is down from 14 to a mere eight. Two MVS in the house, one CDZ, and seven cart systems: one boxed, one dev unit, one US, one Korean, 3 misc .jp systems.

And five or six NGP units of varying description.

If the topic turns to Saturn hardware I'd be embarassed to list them all. =/

Aside form the fact that's your name, why own so many of the carts systems? I thought they were unbreakable.

1 Japanese system - new, boxed, and never played (my pride and joy)

1 Japanese system - boxed in excellent condition

1 ghetto ass POS system that I tried to mod and fucked up beyond repair ....

1 English Mega Modded system in NM condition (from kpj) that will be arriving later this week.

I buy them because I love hardware. I love to poke at it and prod it and swap parts and hack things. How would I be able to compare a Korean model and an early JP model if I didn't have them handy?

I've sold a lot more than I currently own, new used and whatever. I've probably gone through fifty or sixty in the last three years.

as for condition and boxes, I don't really care. I used my US system box to store some PCBs when I moved to Japan. Covered it up with tape and shoved it in a larger box. Fuckit, life's too short. Play the games, don't worship them. :mad:

I'm getting closer to the day I finally own one, I hope it to be an AES with a few choice games to get me (and my son) started. But for now it's nada. I really envy some of your collections here.

I have one jap home system in excellent condition. I have no plans to buy another one cos' the one I have will last for a long time.
