A co-worker of mine got the latest issue of Gamepro in the mail today (has pic of Solid Snake from MGS3 on it) and inside was an article on SvC: Chaos.

Here is a copy of the article verbatum written by Gamepro staffer Simon Limon:

SVC Chaos: SNK vs. Capcom
Developed by SNK - Published by Playmore - Available Now

"When Capcom and SNK agreed to create crossover fighting games, each company was supposed to release its own version of the ultimate 2D rivalry. Unfortunately, SNK has spent the last few years restructuring, but it's finally ready to hold up its end of the bargain. Chaos will include characters not available in Capcom's versions like Hugo, Earthquake, Tabasa, and Mr. Karate. Currently, 24 characters are known, but it looks like more will be announced as the release date approaches. Using four buttons, players will duke it out in a one-on-one format without specialized grooves or teams of ratio-powered characters."

"SVC Chaos is being made for the Neo-Geo system, which ensures the classic SNK look and feel, but sadly prevents the graphics from comparing to those of newer fighters like Guilty Gear XX. However, fighting-game fanatics care more about complex fighting systems than fancy visuals. SVC Chaos is set for release this summer in Japan with a U.S. release soon after. Be excited."

It's certainly nice that finally a US video game rag devoted some space to the game and had pictures for it as well (as insanely tiny as they were). Good move Gamepro, I'd wager good ole Dan Electro had a hand in getting that article in there :) .

I wonder if that will be the issue I get for free

but sadly prevents the graphics from comparing to those of newer fighters like Guilty Gear XX
I like the GG series but GGXX wasn't all that hot, what is that like the #1 tired excuse of why so & so is better then SNK/Playmore

I'll bet Dan helped.

It's good to have guys like him in the industry. Fortunately, he's not alone. The folks at Gamespot also like the Neo.

I think that article ends with the quote for SVC:

"Be excited."
