Gots my Neo Geo, now I need a good controller :crying:

Got my Neo Geo. The system works great. S-video mod gives me a great picture, sterio mod is excellent. The games ive got are all in all decent. Ive got Fatal Fury, KoF94, World Heroes 2 (He threw it in free after the auction so I cant complain), Samurai Shodown II, and my favorite Last Blade.

The only thing that really ticked me off is the controller. Its an original Neo joystick. Its beaten up, but still works ok. The buttons are ok, but hate the stick. Its so loose and small. It reminds me of the Agitec DC stick. Thats not a good thing. I can get most of my moves off, but this will not be suitable for the long run.

Can !Arcade! mod any controller I want to work with the Neo? Even pads not joysticks? I really need some better controllers.

Also I heard that a PC cord can be used as a controller extension cable. Is this true? What type do I need?

Just go to Comp USA and pick up an old joystick extender. They don't hardly sell them anymore anywhere else, but for some reason, Comp USA has all sorts of old shit like that. So extenders aren't the problem.

About the stick. I LOVE the stick. I would get used to that one if I were you, but if you're really mad at your money, then go ahead and get one made for you. They're nice too, but ain't nothing wrong with the good old style.

If the stick is that big of a problem then buy some NEO CD game pads for your NGH, they'll fit in the slots as well since they are the same pin-outs. I didn't like the sticks at first either but I've grown to love the click sticks.

Well maybe after a few days the stick will grow on me. Im just used to sticks that are alot springier like the Saturn virtua stick.

You'll get used to them. If you still dislike them in a few weeks, I recommend the hori fighting sticks. They have a much broader base with a lesser angle on the buttons, also a longer (6') cord.

You'll get used to the sticks. One day you'll wonder how you ever played without them.

Whenever I use any Neo stick for more than around 3 hours I always end of with a big stinging red sore on my the outside of my left pinky.

I prefer my big Sega sticks!
