Hi there everyone.. I just want to whinge about these bunch of crooks.... I've jsut had to send them this email (PS. It's a bit long winded so have patience DUDES):
To Whom This may Concern.
My name is Mr. Rot Phung Te.
On Monday the 14 July 2003, I was informed by a friend that the CEX store in LONDON, Tel: (0207) 692 1213, had a copy of the game complete POCKET REVERSI for the Neo Geo Colour Pocket. I subsequently rang the store up and spoke to DAVE. He informed me that the only way I could get this game would be to phone up your Mailing Center in Watford to ask them to Transfer the game to themselves and so I could pay for the game.
After I rang up your Mail Ordering section in Watford, they said that they would do this for myself. I spoke to a few of your staff that day including ADAM and they indicated that they would ask for the game to be transferred and it would take a week to reach yourselves. I was also, informed that I would be contacted via phone and then I could pay for the item.
To make sure that things would progress, on the same day, Monday 14 July 2003, I rang your store in LONDON to ask whether they had received a request to transfer the game. DAVE, whom I spoke to, confirmed that they had indeed received the call and would be transferring the game soon.
At this stage, I was perfectly happy and expected fully to contacted within the week.
After, a full week had passed, I began to get worried and I rang your Mail Ordering number. They informed me that the Transfers only arrived on Monday and Wednesday. They also, assured me that I will be contacted AS SOON as the game came in.
Between the date I ordered the game to be transferred and the present date, I have rang yourselves at Watford on numerous occasions to check if my game had arrived yet. I've talked to SEAN, ADAM and other various members of your sales team in Watford and each time I have been informed that the game had not been transferred to them yet.
I have even contacted your store in LONDON and they informed me that they indeed have sent out the game. In fact they reported to myself that they have sent 2 of the game Pocket Reversi as transfers to yourself.
Now, 3 weeks on from my initial enquiry I find that I haven't received ANY communication about my game, even though on NUMEROUS occasions I have been assured a phone call but none has materialized.
I have become so frustrated by this affair that on Wednesday 30 July 2003, I rang your mail ordering company and spoke to ADAM, who promised to make an enquiry into this affair and also, promised to ring me by 6.00pm to tell me of the outcome of his enquiry.
As before, I never received a phone call and so I contacted yourselves again on Thursday 31 July 2003 and spoke to ADAM again and I voiced my concerns with him. He was at a loss to where this game was and could not offer me an explanation. I then spoke to him at length about this incident and told him in NO UNCERTAIN TERMS that I fully expect to receive a copy of this game as promised by your firm.
ADAM has now promised to contact me on MONDAY 4th AUGUST 2003 concerning my game.
This situation is TOTALLY unnacceptable. I have dealt with mail order companies on numerous occasions and NEVER in my life have I been experienced something as inept as this. I've dealt with game companies such as Raven Games, Telegames and never in my days have they refused to contact me. They have NEVER said that a game has gone missing. They have NEVER in my days said that they have NO CLUE where a game they have has gone!
To mislay a game verbally promised for a customer is bad enough BUT if CEX in LONDON are to be believed, you have indeed misplaced TWO copies of the same game!! This is inexcusable business practice and I for one will not tolerate it.
Let me make this clear for you. I want the game that was promised me. I take the conversations I've had with yourselves as a Verbal Contract. I have noted and have recorded each time I have contacted yourselves.
I will not let this matter rest until the game I was promised arrives at my door. I will take this matter as far as I have to. Such business practices like this must be stamped out. To say that you requested an item for a customer and then to turn around and say that not only have you not got one BUT you've seemed to have lost ANOTHER copy of the game is verging on the criminal negligence.
I hope that this matter is resolved amicably and successfully. However, I am very dissatisfied at this moment and contemplating ringing my solicitors immediately to enquire about how I should proceed. However, I will wait untill Monday 4th August to hear from ADAM before making any decisions.
Sincerely.
Mr. Rot Phung Te.
