CGE 2K3

I've been discussing this in the chatroom for a while, and yes, I'll be there this August, and have booked the vacation package for good deals. I'd like to get an idea about how many of us will be there this year.

Why would anyone bother to go to Vegas for a non-NG related event?

1. Cheap to come from almost any point in USA for vacation, even from London there're vacation packages with Virgin Atlantic.

2. So many attractions/activities around, even if you don't want to gamble, easy access on the strip by bus.

3. Best/easiet possibilities of getting all NG.com members together, we can even form a huge force in the show.

4. Buy stuff from the shows you'd never find elsewhere.

5. Food: buffet of almost all types 24 hrs a day, I crave for the all-you-can-eat prime rib buffet now and on.

There're many more but I think #3 is reason enough to come, I'd even like Shawn to set up a NG.com booth there, even if Shawn doesn't want to come.

I paid $345 for air+hotel package (4 nights of hotel with air from MSP) and it can be even cheaper if you don't mind flying in a inconvenient time and/or staying in a pit. Nuf said, the date is AUGUST 9,10 (SAT, SUN), for more info, please check this site:

Have you seen that NGF is a part of the exhibitors? They have already ruined this event ( but it's a personal opinion).

Vince: I talked to someone today. AM West basically told me to screw myself, and find my own way.

The big question is:

Is Mooky going?

I was all setup to go, but unfortuneately Otakon is going on at the same time as the CGE. So due to the fact that like I'm in a group with 7 people (my sister and girlfriend being chief among them) that are HELL BENT on Otakon, I'm not gonna make it to CGE.

There were a lot of people I wanted to meet there too!

The cheapest hotel option, happens to be Fitzferald, while it's not glamourous like Bellagio, it's the cleanest hotel on Fremont and is the closest hotel to CGE. I do not, however, recommend hanging around The Plaza other than CGE, the food is so disgusting that given the options you can have in Vegas, give this place a miss, not to mention high prices. Am West has deals with Fitzgerald that they can really keep the rate low.

I'll be there... but won't book until the last minute.
