Should I buy Metal Slug 2 or Metal Slug X?

I know that ther are very similar with X beiung an update of 2, and here's the deal.

I konow a guy that has both for AES in NM/Mint shape and he wants to sell them. The asking price for MS2 is $300 and $400 for MSX.

The game will be played alone 50% of te time and with another person the other 50%.

Since the are both in the same condition, which should I go for? Should I save the 100 bucks and get 2 or is the extra money well spent on X?

They're both excellent games, and both are very similar. There are some extra paths and secrets in MS X that aren't in 2, but I can't really understand getting both unless your into the collecting scene. MSX is basically MS2 with lots of extras and almost zero slowdown. I prefer X personally.

If you're bothered by the concept of slowdown, avoid MS2 entirely and go for X; and besides, X is ever so slightly more challenging due to its inherently faster pace. Aesthetics aside, most will agree that X is the better of the two.

Metal Slug X fixed all the flaws that Metal Slug 2 had. So, Metal Slug X.

Personaly i like Mslug2 i dont mind the slowdown at all, it makes it a bit easy. iam getting the Mslug X homecart in a few days, so then i can review both games, see which one i like more.

I'd go for X, because if I remember correct. It's a combination of 1 and 2.

2 is better, but X has less slow down... if the slow down bothers you, go for X hands down... but, I'd take 2 anyday over X.
