I was wondering if there some kind of mod chip out there or something that would automatically translate Japanese text into English on a PS2 or PSX???? spock

It's crazy how a modded Neo-Geo AES machine can translate perfectly and there's no other machine out there that I know of that does such a thing.

If you want to know why im asking for such a thing to be done on a PS2. For all you people who have played the 'Fist of the North Star'/'No Ken' game on Jap PSX it's awesome... but all the dam story is in Japanese and I haven't a clue what the hell everyone is saying eek!

It would be a massive bonus if such a translation can be done like the AES machine does, then I don't have to worry about buying import games.

I thought I better ask here before I end up trying to search for hours on google.

Thanks! :)

The Neo plays in its region's language because it is coded like that from the beginning. No translating is done when a US release is done. Only English packaging. Same chips.

So there is no chance of dual language PS2 games

basically, unless the english is already in the game, you won't get any translation.
