Well, well - does stuff like

resins, art books, zippos, soundtracks etc.

exist for this blazing guns series? I haven`t seen anything yet ... <img src="graemlins/help.gif" border="0" alt="[Help]" />

Only thing I got is a original SNK MS shirt bought at theit TGS booth 2 years ago.

Thats a great question KS. Unfortunately the best person to answer it is Chris Ray, since he's a diehard collector of almost every Neo-related item you can imagine.

As for arcade flyers, I have Metal Slug 2 and Metal Slug 3 8.5" x 11" color flyers, which are very cool. The MS3 flyer in particular is incredible, jammed with cool details and double sided, and printed on heavy stock. I think you might find a scan of it at:

I also have a large MS3 poster, framed, which is very cool as well.

Besides those flyers and the poster, I don't know of any specific MS related stuff. Wouldn't it be cool if you could buy models of the Slug tank and other vehicles? Alas, I don't think such stuff exists . . . :(

Wow, I just imagine buying resins of the slugs, characters and bosses, that would be incredibly cool! <img src="graemlins/drool.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool]" /> <img src="graemlins/drool2.gif" border="0" alt="[Drool 2]" />

But I also doubt they exist - is it really that
people just buy fighting game character resins? I mean the MS series is popular beyond most fighting series and yet no such stuff? Too bad. :(

There's at least an original soundtrack for Metal Slug 2.

there is not nearly as many collectibles made for the slug series as there is made for KOF and other series. One really rare slug collectible I do have however is A mint metal slug 1 MVS flyer which I am going to frame with my slug 2 and 3 MVS flyers (they are all english).

Anyway, there is indeed a soundtrack to Metal Slug 2, and otherwise, one or two collectible cards in some of those Gamest/SNK trading cards. But even so, that/those are special card(s), not say 10 out of a 130 card set.

There is at least one guidebook to the game as well, I think the PS version of Metal Slug X, possibly the original, but I haven't seen that since I left it on the shelf in that game store in Japan last year.

edit: what does that t-shirt sport by the way? I would love to see it!

I hear you though. I was not really trying to brag though, but I searched everywhere for that flyer and just happened to come across one last year. Chris ray and Dion from NGF dont even have the slug 1 flyer. they told me they could not find one and I think we all know they would give thier left nut to get a collectible they did not have.

good call on the soundtrack and cards too. there is also A sheet in the 1999 callender that came with kof 98 cd which gas EXTREMILY nice metal slug art work on it.
