Anyone in the UK just watch Thumb Bandits on C4? They interviewed Raven Games *shudder* about rare games. He said the most desirable system for collectors is the Neo-geo home system, AES to you and me, and something about Metal Slug. He also mentioned there only being 3 US Kizuna Encounters in the world?? I dunno, I wasnt listening too hard...

Well, whatever, nice to see it mentioned :D

Now I'm gonna watch Kentucky Fried Movie! On next...

That tosser really doesn't know what he's talking about.

To be expected really. He can't price the AES right, so he's not going to get his facts straight is he?

Shame, I missed that. Does it get repeated later in the week?

No I dont think so :(

But it just sounded like an advert "Come and buy all my rare games". Maybe by quoting those kinda figures he's hoping that he'll be able to charge whatever the hell he feels like. "Hey, there are only 6 Metal Slugs in the world! And I have them all!"

TB is all right...but I miss my Gamesmaster

He did say there are only 3 English Kizuna Encounters, which is close enough - only 2 known copies according to the price guide. And he also said MS1 costs about £1000 which is conservative to say the least. I imagine the copy of MS1 shown was from his personal collection, its not on their price list.

Yeah exactly! I just cant see how that works out...I mean, did some religious cult declare it blasphemous and decide to buy out and burn the whole US stock? Did angry arcade vendors smash them all to pieces for not making enough money? It just makes no sense...unless they were built to order? Or just fakes? I'm so cinfused <img src="graemlins/ohno.gif" border="0" alt="[Oh No]" />

CONFUSED you dumbass! Jeez...

And FB does feature the ever-sarcastic Iain Lee, but also that American chick from Bits. Aleks or something. The problem is that they seem to go on for SO long with their incessant rambling and cruddy attempts at wit that we don’t actually get to see much of the games. As tacky as Cybernet is, at least it's mostly games. Kinda reminded me a lot of Bits on a higher budget.

Check the price guides link, theres a link to this topic which should help you. It was a European release (not US), and it conflicted with SS2s release (AFAIK) which meant it was overlooked by buyers. I think unsold carts went back to SNK, where they were probably recycled into another title. I'm sure there are more than 2 copies in existence, but only 2 are confirmed. If you had a copy would you advertise the fact ? Hell no, when you eventually threw that fat-assed biatch onto eBay you want it to seem as rare as possible. You could be talking $10,000 upwards. By far the rarest game ive ever heard of.
