eBay suck! I emailed them once about a person selling ROMs, and all they did was email me back saying that if I wasn't the copyright holder they couldn't do anything. frown

$14.95 + $2.95 shipping and it doesn't even include Matrimelee?

That IS incredibly lame.

Dude, eBay is pissing me off. They took down my modded Neo Geo AES auction this morning, but they allow:

1. Bootlegs (passively, since you don't have to prove its authentic)
2. Conversions
3. ROM discs

ridiculous

In fact, seems their policy is exactly opposite of the Neo Geo forums here....

I'd go to "Unauthorized copies".

Also! Ebay sellers who get your pics and descriptions hijacked! YOU CAN TAKE ACTION!

really? I see modded Neo Geo's all the time. Did you word it wrong? If you said Mod chip as opposed to debug bios, they might have thought it is used to play illegal games . . . only you don't need a region switch for cartridges, unless of course you were selling a Neo Geo CD with a mod chip to play "back up" games.

I really wanted to get that as im not to clued up on roms, but likw using emulated screen shots for my fan art. This is also the only time ive ever known of strikers, prehistoric isle 2 and nightmare in the dark to be emulated.

Oh well, shouldnt encourage it I suppose.

I'm not against emulation at all (considering that emulation is meant to enable to play old games that otherwise you couldn't, not as a free pirate new game source), but what really pisses me off is people making money on other's work, such as selling roms, emulators or copied games

This guys just suck. But there are just so many of them everywhere...I've even seen some japanese guys selling NeoGeo, snes, gba and mame roms in the streets of the electirc towns in Tokyo and Osaka at some crazy prices such as 60$ each CD.....and what's worse is that they sell them.

What I cannot understand is how there can be guys so stupid to buy those CDs...I mean, if they have internet access to search the ebay, and they want the romz so bad, why don't they just download teh romz? they're everywhere! and they wouldn't be giving money to some dumbass shitman that makes money selling other's work.... moreover the complete NeoGeo romz collection doesn't fit on 2 CDs, so he isn't good even for that -.-

Oh men, this just pisses me off. Shame on them and the people that give them money.

Doesn't Ebay keep track of these types of auctions or do they wait for them to be reported?
