Just Got Metal Slug 3 and........?

noticed between screens it says something like "MVS test" and a date of I think 11/91. It blinks on and off very fast. Possible conversion cart, or legit? None of my other carts do this...?

Can you take some pictures of the cart itself? I've never hear of anyone having this problem. If you think you can handle it, I suggest you take some pictures of the game boards too so the experts can give you a more thorough answer.

It could be a conversion. Also, on the Ebay auction, the seller used the Neo-Geo.com pic from the cart pics section. So, the guy could been a scammer, you could take pics of it, and post it up on here, and experts that tell if it's a conversion or defected.

If it turns out to be a defective cart, bootleg or conversion, contact the seller and see if he will refund the money. If he doesnt, if you paid by credit card you can dispute charges for those reasons and send the item back to the seller. keep us posted!

you goddamn noob. there are no slug 3 conversions numb nuts, there would be absolutely no reason to convert that title.
The auction descrition is fine. not everyone has a digital camera. please make more educated posts and replies. you are only misleading people.

I agree. I can't see how it could be a conversion! Maybe the game is not inserted well enough? Did you try taking it out and inserting it again? Did you try cleaning it?

I jus' trying to help this situation here. Maybe my infromation could be wrong. But, I am doing my best trying to help the situation. Some people know more about Neo Geo that I do. Because I jus' joined about 3 months ago, I don't know quite much as the veterans that have been here for a while. But, I don't know shit when it comes to the arcades, because I have no kind of arcades in my house. So, I'm not sayin' I'm always right, I'm only human. So, there isn't a conversion of Metal Slug 3, my bad. I was trying too help, didn't mean confuse anybody.

Slug 3 mvs is just about as expensive as the aes version. Besides that, a conversion would need a kof 99 or so host cart.. Quite a waste indeed

Anyways, some pics of the appearence on the screen would be nice as well.

Yup, that's a message for when a slug game boots on a debug system. A few other games (rb2 comes to mind) do this too.

Now this is the answer I was hoping for. I have a debug bios, so I guess this is what I am seeing. It lasts for maybe a half second on a black screen, white text. As far as taking a picture, I can take one of the cart, but what will that prove? Are the rest of you suggesting I take the cart apart to show the "experts."?

Even if it is a conversion, it is a damn awesome game, and I bought it to play it. This same ebayer sold MS4 earlier, and I saw no negative feedback so I bid since it was cheaper that the $235 found in the Neo store.
