I got offered a Brand New MAS Super Nova for a great deal from MAS. A Quick question though. The Arcade sticks. They are 6-Button sticks but does that include the A, B, C, and D Buttons? I need the D Button for Sengoku games, etc... Do I need to special order the better arcade sticks? And, on the MAS web-site, what is that board hanging on top of the Super NOva box? Thanks!

The D button is Button 6, under the C button. It's really more comfortable than you'd think.

Sometimes the D button isn't wired to button 6, though, and you have to wire it yourself. It's very, very easy to do.

The board on top of the super nova unit is a game. Arcade boards aren't contained in plastic carts like NES or Genesis games. They are just bare bones.

c.t.h:
FS: cool custom rank
It certainly was a surprise to come home to. I had been gone the past 4 days and didn't see it until last night. It's not often you open up your profile and read "Last updated by Judge Dredd".

Yeah, they e-mailed me back and told me about the D Button. Also, I could not tell that was a game. I know I need a board, but I guess I am use to Neo MVS Carts :) So, witht he Super Nova, I can buy any arcade board and just hook it up and play? Like Gauntlet Dark Legacy? Thanks!

As long as the board is JAMMA compatible you should be able to just plug it in the supernova and play it.
For the Neo Geo games, you need a MVS motherboard and then the MVS cart of each game.

Just out of curiousity, what was the email address you used to contact MAS Systems? I emailed them twice and haven't gotten a response and it's been over 2 weeks.

Be aware that you have to make your own kick harness connections for cps2 and other 6 button jamma games. I haven't hooked a 1 slot to mine for the D-button but I had to make my own kick harnesses for the cps2 board and my sf2ce board.

the real bob roberts has the cps2 end already made and all you need is to make the other end connect to the one that comes with the superNova. He's VERY reliable! Just serch "The Real Bob Roberts" on google.

They aren't that tough to make...

Here is the where the D Button is on the MAS Sticks:

On the Nova controllers, the standard push buttons layout is:

P1 P2 P3
P4 P5 P6 where

A B C
x x D is the Neo.Geo format (x = don't care) (D button is P6)
