Neo Turf Masters

Finally got Neo Turf Masters on MVS (well Big Tournament Golf actually) and I totally suck at this game. +15 my first round, then +9 the second round. crying My putting game is total crap, and I've hit the ball into the water or off a tree way too many times. Any tips on improving my game?

Player 2 is having a baaaad day. lol

first off very good game you picked and choose the diffrent clubs and see the wind directions and stuff it is one of those games you can be crap in but still have alot of fun

I hope this isnt sacrilege, but how does turfmasters compare to the psx Hotshot's Golf (my favorite golf game so far)

Neo Turf Masters is better. BUt they are both good games.

Try to get maximum power & hit it high when driving, try to learn your player's general power level, pay attention to the wind and, as in the demonstration, aim your shot off-target but have it curve around using slice. That tactic did quite a lot to improve my game. When you get down to small distances play around a bit with how hard (30~50% force I say) you hit the ball and try for flatter shots. Simple stuff that works for me.

Also for the shorter hits don't forget to take into account the fact that the ball will roll.

Don't forget:

You can hold down on the joystick to draw the ball back when it lands, you'll see this in one of the demos that plays while the game is in attract mode. It comes in handy when you are in tricky situations getting on the green.

I find all sorts of slicing and hooking is unneeded, but is nice for putting your opponents morale in the gutter.

Also use the shot maker. There is no substitute.

There are some holes that don't make sense... like they have cheap tricks...

The last Par 3 of the Japan course is not measured accurately, even though you take the correct club, you'll end up short...

Cheap tricks from the programmers to ruin your score...

I can't really suggest anything that wasn't already said by NeoBomberman, but I do know that more you play, the easier and more addictive that game gets. Just look at me, my friends and I used play that game for hours when my local comic book shop got it at their arcade nook. And because of it, I've been searching for the AES copy for like 2 years now. And I'm starting to think that I may never find it. But keep at it, it's worth it.

P S: I got eagle once on a buddies turn (he was on the phone doing store business), and I was like the only one who ever got one on that machine. It was the luckiest shot I'd ever made, and I got a free comic out of it.

Well, back to +14 today. crying lol

I played the Germany course today, and the sound is messed up on it. Sometimes it seems like there is 2 music tracks playing at once, other times, random sounds will play. Random bass and piano sounds. spock Is this normal, or is there something messed up with my cart?
