I found a good way to see what's going on at DHP w/o subscribing to the list is going to the site:

You can read the archives as far back as 1994, some are quite entertaining (personal attacks). I personally don't like to be on the list for the fact my mailbox will be flooded with emails daily, plus the fact that most discussions are not Neo-Geo reltated, certain topics are useful though.
