The spine cards are just little packaging extras...almost like an advertisment. Sometimes they describe the type of game, or some features the game has. Often, on Import Saturn games, Capcom would explain that you needed the 4 meg ram cart to play a specific game. The Spine card, as well as the registration card, are the key elements in having a complete game.Originally posted by The Collector:
Ya know I only have a few CDs, and they have the Spine Cards, but what the hell is the purpose of them? Where am I supposed to put them?

The Spine Card actually preserves the value of your CD if you have it(good condition of course). What I used to do was snap the tray out holding the CD and place it in there.replace the tray, put you CD back in the holder and close the CD case up.You'd never know it was there..btw check this area for the spine card as I set alot in that area as well as others.
Never toss them.

You know, I just wonder how far this shit is going to go. I mean most people can't even read the goddamned spine card or the registration card but they have to be there to be complete? I can read the registration cards and you know what, they're just registration cards. There's nothing special about them. Shit, if people like thin cardboard with Japanese printed on it so much, maybe I should start making some and mailing them out. I can see Liquid's transaction interpretation going to a whole new level:
"I have a mint Metal Slug CD for sale!"
"Does it have the spine and registration card?"
"Yes it does."
"What about the original cellophane it was wrapped in?"
"No I don't have that."
"Sorry, I'll have to pass since it isn't complete."
Sheesh,
Jeff
