Is anyone good at 3 Count Bout/Fire Suplex?

I really want to enjoy this game, but I can't get past the third stage on the level 1 difficulty setting. I'd even go as far to say that it's the hardest game I've ever played on the Neo. Is there any way to master this monster?

Even on level 1 this game is a challenge, the CPU can be very cheap at times. Best way I found to win is to concentrate on running elbows and dropkicks, only sure way to avoid a grapple which the CPU ends up winning %75 of the time.

Same here, I'd like to get into 3 Count Bout, but the excessive stick whaggling and button mashing sucks. Without it, 3CB could be my favourite wrestling game, the engine is a little rough, but the moves are okay.

Cheap CPU, that's for sure. And all of my friends hate it, that's why I have to play it in 1P, once or twice a year.

3cb made me break a "330 mega" controller (just through normal, but intense, button mashing). This game unfortunately goes in my pile of "games that might be enjoyable to play 1P if they weren't so damn hard" along with last resort and viewpoint. The only way I can think of to get more out of the game is getting a debug mod and seeing if it provides any good cheats.

I too find this game impossible on level 1 , the AI is a cheating bastard at best !

I get worn out trying to beat this game and eventually just give up.

What you must do is "beat on" your opponent first before attempting to grapple!! You have to get like three uninterrupted shots or more shots in on your opponent depending on how affective they are before you should grapple.(shots =kicking, standing drop kick, punching, whip to the rope and retrun move,)
Every character has a street fighter type attack so make good use of that as well..The Road Warrior dude has a repetative kick and another has a repetative fist punch(flurry of fists)Use these to "beat down" the opponent.Oh yeah, one guy has the green mist,etc..
I find whipping your opponent to the ropes and performing moves on the return to be affective along with climbing to the top of the ropes and trying to splash the opponent.
In the Junkyards and such..Use weapons whenever possible and dive off the ledge or that hook attached to the chain attempting to splash your opponent...
With practice,you'll leave'em layin'

I never play that game alone... I love it in TagTeam...

It rocks, but the buttons smashing is terrible!

I generally don't play it to take care of my beloved Neo Geo stick buttons!!!! ;)

With a good turbo in your controller, it's very easy game to finish even on level 8! Just keep grappling the CPU and let the turbo do the job for you.
