This may sound stupid, but I think it would be interesting to play Magical Drop using a DDR pad. Would make for a good work out at least, any opinions on this idea?

I agree that it will give you a workout, MD3 can really make my hands hurt after playing it too long on the cab (not many games do). God I love how you get so into the game it kinda becomes subconcious, a pure twitch experience (for me at least).

If anyone does this, post pics!

Are You Kidding Me?? You are more stubid rather than your stubid idea.

This! <img src="http://www.toysnjoys.com/access_psx/ddr_pad.jpg" alt=" - " />

Allright, you need a good combination for this one. By pressing the down button, the player should take down the crystal marbles, pressing up will player send the marbles up.

Maybe if you could actually spell "stupid" I would take you seriously

Anyway douche bag, Up and Down are not used in magical drop. The adapter probably maps the A and B buttons to X and O.

I take my word "stupid" back

If you're looking for the best arcade feel, use only the arrow pads, thus its more:

INTERESTING,EXCITING AND ENTERTAINTING.

That wouldn't work, MD3 does not have the option of reconfiguring the buttons.

Just buy a DDR pad + PS to neo adapter, cut the wires open and rewire it so down takes down the balls and up shoots them up, and you know the rest.

That's true. But it's too much work for such a silly idea.

I don't know about this idea. If you're using the Left and Right arrows to control your character, that means you'd have to hit one of those arrows very rapidly just to send the jester over to the other side of the screen quickly. And as most seasoned DDR players can tell you, having to hit 1/8's on the same arrow over and over is one of the most annoying types of steps you have to put up with.

Still, of all the genres of games out there, a puzzler is probably the closest thing you could get to be playable with a DDR pad. I remember one time I put in G-Darius in my PSX and tried to play it with a DDR pad... yeah, that was funny for about 10 seconds, and then wondered why I was being so retarded.

Those metal DDR pads will set you back around 300-500 dollars. My friend won one in a tournament. Then he sold it and kept the money. I've heard of people trying to play a few games with the dance pads, but with bad results.
